Starting March 19th, subscribers can download NBA 2K24 Kobe Bryant Edition, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Resident Evil 3’s remake, and Blood Bowl 3 on PS4 and PS5.

PS5-only titles include Mystic Pillars: Remastered and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (separate from the PS4 version, which is currently available on PlayStation Plus).
Do you know about Crash: Mind Over Mutant?

Sequels are a tough nut to crack. There’s always the question of what elements should be added, which ones to be removed, and which ones to iterate on. Sometimes developers try to change the core ideas of the original, and other times – they create sequels to spin-offs that didn’t garner much fan-interest in the first place. Either way, this can lead to these sequels being ignored by the fanbase – and to that end, here are 15 sequels that you probably didn’t know existed.

Metal Gear Acid 2

While the mainline Metal Gear Solid series has a lot of entries to its name, the Metal Gear property is also home to a couple of spin-off series – including but not limited to Metal Gear Acid. It’s possible that some fans may have tried out this hidden gem, but it’s very unlikely that you knew about its sequel, Metal Gear Acid 2 which was released in 2005. This follow-up to the card-based RPG is everything that fans would desire from a sequel, improving on the elements found in the original while introducing a few new ideas of its own.

Disappointing, inferior or just outright bad - almost every series has one of these games.

Sequels are a part and parcel of the video game industry. As long as a game sells well, a sequel can be expected at some point. However, not every sequel turns out great. Some entries in a hallowed franchise may be fine and relatively inoffensive but definitely not as great as their peers. So without further ado, let’s take a look at our least favourite entries in otherwise great series.

Hitman Absolution

To be perfectly clear, it’s not like Hitman Absolution was terrible. It just failed to really capitalize on what made the series so popular – the sandbox levels that encouraged experimentation and all manner of interesting assassinations. The story was fine and the visuals top-notch but without its rich sandbox, Absolution felt like a stop-gap rather than a real step forward.
