Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure lets kids take on the role of a powerful Portal Master who can control over 30 different characters, including the beloved purple dragon Spyro. Each of these heroes is a protector of Skylands, an amazing mysterious world which has been taken over by a sinister Portal Master known as Kaos; a powerful enemy that has frozen the Skylanders as toys and banished them to Earth. Only the players of Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure can help return these heroes back to their world by embarking on an adventurous journey where they will explore mythical lands, battle menacing, outlandish creatures, collect treasures, and solve challenging puzzles as a part of a quest to save Skylands.

Today, July 28th 2011, ‘Homefront’ gets another map pack.  The DLC is called ‘The Rock‘ and will include two maps as well as being exclusive for the Xbox 360 for a short period of time before it is released for other platforms.. similar to the Call of Duty map packs.  The contents two maps are called Alcatraz and Bridge playable in Team Deathmatch like the last maps released (Waterway and Overpass). It will run you 400 Microsoft Points and if you a fan of the game you’ll want to stay up to date with the rest of the players as over priced as it might seem or as odd as it is released two maps at a time.  Never the less, I think ‘Homefront’ has one of the best online multiplayer mechanic around and is the underdog in today’s over saturated world of first-person shooter, so if you have not played the game, you might want to check it out.  More details on the DLC can be seen here.

With all these games releasing live action short films and trailers, Homefront is no exception.  Though this latest trailer for the game just starts off with some live action and then delves right into actual gameplay of Homefront due out for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on March 15th.  Watch the trailer below.

THQ has released the third developer diary video of their upcoming Kaos developed First Person Shooter, Homefront, explaining what the consequences of war and violence can be.

The video shows the consequences of the war between the resistance forces and the invading North Korean forces, and reveals your main character to be Robert Jacobs, a former chopper pilot recruited by the resistance forces. Other characters are the cop Boone, ex-military guy Connor, expert hunter Rianna and Korean-American mechanic Hopper.

Homefront will be releasing on March 8 in the US and March 11 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC. Check out our exclusive interview of the game here.
