Square Enix will be bringing out one more Kingdom Hearts HD compilation before the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. At Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show conference, the publisher announced Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter which will include Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts Chi: Back Cover and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage.

The last game caught our attention because this isn’t Birth by Sleep which originally released on the PSP (and which was remixed for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix). Instead, this will be a prequel to Kingdom Hearts 3 and will prepare players for the story to come. One has to wonder if this prequel will eventually release on Xbox One, seeing as how Kingdom Hearts 3 is in development for PS4 and Xbox One.
