The first big developers and publishers have announced their new showcase line ups, including: Blizzard, Capcom, Namco, Tecmo Koei, Electronic Arts, Konami, 2K Games, Codemasters and Bethesda.

Games which are currently confirmed to be playable at gamescom 2012 are: World of Warcraft – Mists of Pandaria, Starcraft – Heart of the Swarm, FIFA 13, Football Manager 13, Crysis 3, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Sim City… and breathe… Star Wars: The Old Republic, Resident Evil 6, Lost Planet 3, DmC, PES 2013, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate, Borderlands 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Dishonored.

Numerous companies will be hosting huge press conference events, the kick-off event for this year’s gamescom will be taking place on the Wednesday at 10:00 am, by this year’s partner country Korea in the North Congress Centre at the Koelnmesse site. The wednesday will also see events from Ubisoft and Nexon. Sony, Capcom and EA are hosting their own pre-gamescom conferences elsewhere.

Already confirmed to be at this year’s GamesCom are: EA, Deep Silver, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Bethesda Softworks, Capcom, Crytek, Namco Bandai, Perfect World, RondoMedia, SCEA, Turtle Entertainment, Gameforge, NCsoft, Trion Worlds and many, many more yet to be announced.
