Along with new cacti flora, where items like Bing Bong can get stuck, there’s a dust storm that will pursue climbers. While injury seems a given, it could also introduce unique status conditions. Developed by Landfall and Aggro Crab, PEAK is available exclusively for PC. It sees players stranded on an island and venturing to the tallest peak to escape, which requires crossing multiple dangerous environments. With the ability to climb anywhere (as long as your stamina allows it) and support for up to four players, it’s quickly gained popularity.

PEAK is a climbing game where up to four players work together to scale a mountain (and reach, surprise surprise, the peak). Alongside a Breath of the Wild-style stamina system and the ability to climb anything, you can also help others up and even lay down ropes for them to climb. There are four biomes, though the mountain changes daily.

As you conquer the mountain and complete challenges, you earn “dozens” of badges and even unlock new cosmetics. Following its massive success, the development team is looking at further support while addressing various bugs. The most recent update added support for 12 additional languages alongside balance changes for the Rope Shooter and Anti-Rope Shooter. Head here for more details.

A hat shop is also available, and players can admire their looks courtesy of a new mirror in the house. Perhaps the most significant features are using MetaCoins to purchase new upgrades for the Sky Island and hats and taking on sponsored video deals after finishing their first week. You can also discover a new rare item that’s cursed when going down into the Old World.

The update also provides audio improvements, including a slight boost to the player voice range, general balancing for monsters, random level selection, and optimized performance for faster extractions in certain cases. Landfall has also added a logs feature when players face the Extraction Failure bug, which it’s prioritizing a fix for. Stay tuned for updates on the same in the meantime.

The horror title – which sees players playing as YouTubers (or SpookTubers, as they’re known in the game) looking to make money by recording viral videos of a variety of horrific monsters in the ruins of the old world – launched for PC in early access earlier this month, and has attracted quite the audience, with Landfall revealing on Twitter that the game has sold over 1 million copies since its release.

On the day of its release, for 24 hours, the game as also free to claim for everyone. During that period, it was claimed by 6.6 million players (originally reported to be 6.2 million players), so an additional million copies sold on top of that is certainly an impressive start for the game.

Shortly after release, Content Warning started its rollout of post-launch patches, and Landfall says it has more “fun updates and fixes on the way.”

The studio is currently working on more patches and updates for Content Warning. Some of the issues the studio is working on right now include issues with voices, connection and hosting issues, and problems with camera footage not extracting or being visible.

Content Warning was released as a shadow drop earlier this week on PC. Originally released for free for its first 24 hours, the game has since gotten a $7.99 price tag. The free period, however, helped the game in getting a large player base quite a bit. Shortly after release, the game had crossed 200,000 concurrent players on Steam.

Landfall had also revealed that Content Warning had been claimed for free by over 6.2 million players.

Though Content Warning is now a paid title (retailing for $7.99), the development team is looking to resolve several issues regarding voice, connecting and hosting, and camera footage not extracting or being visible. Fortunately, there are leads on several of these, and the team hopes to deploy fixes by tomorrow morning.

Content Warning is available on PC and sees players venturing to the Old World with cameras to record all kinds of horrors, similar to Phasmophobia. However, the goal isn’t identification as much as going viral on SpookTube. By garnering views, you can purchase better cameras and other equipment to increase survivability and earn enough within three days (much like Lethal Company).

It’s pretty impressive, especially considering the sudden announcement and release. With the free period over, Content Warning retails for $7.99 and plays like a mix of Phasmophobia and Lethal Company, where happy-go-lucky players with ASCII faces venture into the Old World. The objective? Capture horrors on camera and upload them to SpookTube.

Playable solo or with up to three other players, the title appeals to horror fans and those keen on watching their teammates die in horrible yet hilarious ways. Depending on views from uploaded videos, new equipment and gear – including the perfunctory flashlights – can be purchased.

In Content Warning, players, either solo or as squads of between 2 and 4 players, will hop into a spooky old forbidden world in their attempt to film silly videos for SpookTube. Along the way, players will encounter creepy creatures and cursed relics, all while trying to film the insanity for SpookTube.

Content Warning takes a few cues from co-op horror title Lethal Company how it presents its horror themes in a comedic light, leaving it largely up to the players to either treat encounters like the legitimately spooky life-threatening moments that they are, or turn them into a complete farce as they try to shoot videos for social media.

Players are able to customise their characters with an ASCII face customiser. They are also able to buy some gear before heading down to the Old World, allowing for some strategy in how they will deal with the creepy monsters they’re bound to run into.
