LEGO Builder’s Journey is Free on the Epic Games Store

LEGO Builder’s Journey by Light Brick Studio is the latest free game available on the Epic Games Store as part of the ongoing Christmas Giveaway. As with previous offerings, you’ll need an Epic Games account to claim it and the Epic Games Launcher to install and run it. The offer is valid until tomorrow, 8 AM PT.

Unlike TT Games’ various LEGO titles, like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, LEGO Builder’s Journey offers more free-form gameplay. You’ll face different puzzles and must figure out the solutions using LEGO bricks. The visuals bring the whole thing to life and support ray tracing for a striking yet calming experience.

Of course, those who want complete freedom to build models can use Creative Mode. Choose a themed build plate and create almost anything, from vehicles and ships to a brand-new scene. Once you’re done, use Photo Mode to adjust the angle and lighting, capture some images, and share the results.

LEGO Builder’s Journey is available for iOS, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5.

After launching on Apple Arcade, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, Light Brick Studio’s LEGO Builder’s Journey is now available for PS4 and PS5. Focusing on “free-form puzzle solving”, the title offers various puzzles with its narrative. Check out the launch trailer below to see it in action.

For those who want to design their own LEGO creations, there’s the recently added Creative Mode. This allows for creating different models and scenes with LEGO bricks. Numerous themes and options are available, ranging from the lower part of a car to completely empty plates. You can also paint different bricks and then change the angle and lighting to capture creations in Photo Mode.

The PC version has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 83 percent of user reviews giving it a thumbs-up. Common issues include optimization and performance so it should be interesting to see how it performs on PS4 and PS5. The Lego Group has announced that LEGO Builder’s Journey will launch for PS5 and PS4 imminently, on April 19. The Light Brick Studio-developed puzzler revolves around free-form puzzle solving using LEGO bricks. The game’s PlayStation version will also come with the Creative Mode, a build-your-own-model mode that was recently released for the game as a free update.

LEGO Builder’s Journey originally launched for Mac and iOS via Apple Arcade in 2019, followed by a Windows and Nintendo Switch launch in June last year, and an Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One release in November later in the year. If you’re looking for a neat little puzzler to sink some time into, this one might be worth keeping an eye on.
