These sound like a bit of a minor shake up, at least.

LEGO games once used to tackle a broad range of pop culture properties, but in the last few years, have become disappointingly fixated with the superhero bubble. Unfortunately, it sounds lie the next few LEGO games may continue that trend- though they at least seem to be taking it in a new direction.

According to Comic Book, TT Games and Warner Bros. are preparing a LEGO The Incredibles 2, to tie in with the release of Pixar’s long waited sequel to their story about a superhero family, which launches this Summer. Given that there is meant to be quite a bit of LEGO Incredibles 2 merchandize in the pipeline, this would seem to line up with those reports.

Additionally, it also sounds like a LEGO DC Villains game, based on the wonderful rogues gallery from DC comics, may be in the works- unlike the Incredibles game, which is due for a Summer launch, this one may be a bit farther off.

No other details are known, including platforms (though the games are likely to hit PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC at a bare minimum)- hopefully, we get official reveals for both games soon.
