<p>The PlayStation 4&#8217;s DualShock 4 has a rather odd addition to it that has yet to find much use outside of identifying of players in the game. This is the Light Bar, which flashes a different colour depending on the player in question. </p>
<p>Of course, there&#8217;s also concern that the Light Bar would consume battery life and really, what use is it if you&#8217;re playing by yourself or enjoying online multiplayer with no one else with you?</p>
<p>Regardless, SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida answered &#8220;No&#8221; when <a href="https://twitter.com/Mimzymoo/status/423218023160614912">asked</a> if there would be a future update for disabling the Light Bar. He also stated that the LED within the controller doesn&#8217;t consume much of the battery life. And if you find it annoying? Then you&#8217;ll just have to deal with it.</p>
