David Jaffe’s cartoonish arena shooter Drawn to Death is finally available and comes free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

In development for a while, Drawn to Death is a third person multiplayer shooter with an aesthetic that looks immediately familiar to Twisted Metal fans (albeit with notebook doodle-esque graphics).

The overall line-up for this month is actually pretty hefty. Along with Drawn to Death, the PlayStation 4 will be receiving 10 Second Ninja, Curses ‘n Chaos and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, the last of which is a compelling indie title worth your attention. Thanks to Cross-Buy, 10 Second Ninja and Curses ‘n Chaos will also be available on the PlayStation Vita completely free.

As for the PlayStation 3, it will be receiving Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom and Alien Rage: Extended Edition for free. Download them all quick because they’re only available for the month of April.

It’s February and that means some new free games on Xbox One and Xbox 360 courtesy of Xbox Live’s Games With Gold offer.

Xbox One users receive hit indie title Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime which will be free all month. Xbox 360 owners will gain Monkey Island 2: Special Edition till February 15th.

Thanks to the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility feature, the latter will be available for Xbox One players as well. If that wasn’t enough, then you can still pick up Killer Instinct: Season 2 until February 15th on Xbox One.

From February 15th till March 16th, Project CARS will be available for free on Xbox One while Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be free on Xbox 360 from February 16th to 28th. Overall, not a bad selection for Xbox Live Gold subscribers this month.

Microsoft’s indie games situation is slowly shifting towards a more favourable stance for developers. The controversy surrounding the parity clause for ID@Xbox is more or less resolved with the company finally treating it on a case per case basis. With the focus returning to the games themselves, what do teams like Asteroid Base think about working with ID@Xbox and delivering Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime to Xbox One?

Speaking to Windows Central, the indie developer full of praise for the ID@Xbox team, including director Chris Charla. “It has been really great working with Chris Charla and the entire ID@Xbox team. They’ve been super helpful to us throughout this entire process and it really can’t be understated, the amount of work it must take on their part for a tiny inexperienced three-person company to be able to interface with a corporation the size of Microsoft.

“Because of them we’ve been able to show the game to thousands of people at various shows around the world like E3, Gamescom, and the San Diego Comicon. We even saw a picture of a Lovers kiosk right next to Mighty Number 9 at the Tokyo Games Show, and we were like ‘… Yup’, because it’s like your whole life up to this point is coming full circle.”
