Both games are not coming to the Wii U.

Electronic Arts has confirmed to Eurogamer that they will not be releasing FIFA 14 on the Wii U due to poor sales of FIFA 13 after releasing it on Nintendo’s new console.

Here is the statement from EA regarding FIFA 14 on the Wii U:

“Six months ago FIFA 13 was a launch title on Wii U,” an EA spokesperson told Eurogamer. “Although the game featured FIFA’s award-winning HD gameplay and innovative new ways to play, the commercial results were disappointing. We have decided not to develop FIFA 14 on Wii U.”

Electronic Arts has also said that this year’s Madden NFL title will not be released on the Wii U. This is the first time since 1991 a Madden game has failed to launch on a Nintendo console. However, EA did say that they will be releasing future Madden NFL products for Nintendo.
