The three new maps in question are Landfall, a close range combat map set in a city razed to the ground by Covenant assault; Monolith, an arena style multiplayer with very little cover set on a monument drifting in an asteroid belt; Skyline, a rooftop map for close quarters fighting with explosive fuel cells for some extra, dangerous variety.

Available on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points, the Majestic Map Pack will also include a new limited War Games mode titled Infinity Rumble which lets players earn ordinance with each fanciful kill, and even shorten their respawn times as the match progresses.

Remember, War Games pass and Limited Edition players can benefit from a 15 percent discount on all three map packs, of which two have been released.

Infinity Rumble adds some spice to War Games – with each special medal, style and support kill you earn, you’ll gain some great benefits like faster ordinance, slower respawn times, and power-ups to win out against enemies. There’s a fair bit of strategy involved, as you can either preserve weapons for later or get a head start against the competition.

The Majestic Map Pack will be available for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. Those who purchased a War Games pass or the Halo 4 Limited Edition will receive an overall 15 percent discount on all map packs (of which one more is to be released).

First off, screens for the upcoming Majestic Map Pack have been discovered thanks to NeoGAF user Wifiplayer13. The map pack is set to release on February 25th and while the screens will be officially released soon, you can check them out below:

The second announcement concerns the return of Team Snipers to the War Games playlist. In Team Snipers, there is no radar, secondary weapon, grenades or ordinance. Players will need to kill each other the old-fashioned way, using only the UNSC Sniper Rifle.

Another game mode that will be added is Shotty Snipers, which is the same as the above but adds Shotguns as secondary weapons. Several “medium-sized maps – slightly modified versions of Haven, Abandon and some Forge favorites will be available” from 343 Industries according to the Halo Bulletin.

Team Objective is also on the cards which groups teams of four vs four for Regicide, Oddball and King of the Hill with being Complex Oddball being removed, and no instant respawn King of the Hill and Oddball.

343 Industries has revealed the Majestic Map pack details and also the Spartan Ops schedule. It will be released in February this year, and will be priced at 1200 MSP unless you own the season pass which means you can get it for free.

“Matchmaking updates go live every Monday, and potential playlists for the month of February include both FFA and a new and improved version of Team Snipers. Late February will also bring both a Title Update and the Majestic Map Pack (which includes two small maps and one medium-sized map) to Halo 4 as well,” the blog post reads.
