Check out the gameplay video from Treyarch’s new DLC, showing off the new Moon map. This DLC only contains Zombie maps and will feature 5 of them. The map pack will launch first on the Xbox 360 on August 23rd and will probably arrive on the PC and PS3 after a month, according to the timed exclusivity deal between Activision and Microsoft.

We have all been killing zombies on the ground, but now with the Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection Map Pack coming out, you will get to kill zombies in zero gravity is space.  That’s right, on August 23rd you will be fighting Zombies on the Moon.  You can pre-order it digitally from Gamestop here and below are the details on it, including Space age guns among other new features.  There will also be new perks as well, but the August 23rd release date is for the Xbox 360 only.  No date has been announced for the Playtation 3 or PC yet.

Lift off into the latest Zombies epic with “Rezurrection,” the new downloadable content pack for “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” and the first to launch players into space for a new dimension of undead action! Old school Zombies strategies get blown out the airlock in “Moon,” where the Call of Duty: Zombies saga comes full circle:

• The undead have transformed Area 51 into a No Man’s Land, forcing our fearless heroes to escape to an abandoned top-secret moon base where they will face their ultimate challenge and bring an end to the Zombies menace.
• Whether battling in the lush Biodome or the subterranean shadows of a lunar mine, devious phasing zombies will test your reflexes as they shift in and out of sight. Watch for the undead astronauts as they run riot, unaffected by the base’s fluctuating gravity and lack of life support.

“Rezurrection” also boasts the original 4 maps that spawned the Zombie phenomenon. Now armed with the firepower behind Black Ops, players can relive the original nightmare of “Nacht der Üntoten,” escape the zombie madness in the asylum of “Verrückt,” battle back the undead Imperial Army of “Shi No Numa,” and pull the plug on “Der Riese,” the zombie factory that started it all.

Homefront is still going strong, which on a side note is why we gave the game such a good review.  The latest DLC has been announced which will be entitled ‘The Rock’ suitably because of one of the maps being the infamous Alcatraz prison.  The map pack will include two maps for the Capture and Deathmatch modes.  Alcatraz which was once known as America’s most infamous prison system is now ground zero for some a close-quarters tactical gun fights.  You will get to see the Golden Gate Bridge as it is secured for large scale warfare and the realism of war happening either on the Spillways near homes or on the to storefront.  War will still rage on in the streets of the California in the Waterway.

The ‘Rock’ DLC be available on exclusively on the Xbox 360 for 400 MS Points (£3.43) first then is will be available before on the PC and Playstation 3 a little later.  In other Homefront news, the original developer of the game being Kaos Studios officially closing THQ Montreal is supporting the game fully making this not the first DLC pack for the game.  More importantly Homefront 2 is still planned to be developed.  I for one can’t wait.

The ‘From the Ashes’ downloadable content is coming to Killzone 3 on June 21st.  With Socom 4 out and other titles, Killzone 3 still remains a top multiplayer title for the Playstation 3 so I’m sure the fans will be happy to hear the news. Guerrilla Games will be launching four new maps in the ‘From the Ashes’ map pack next week. The map pack will include two maps for Guerrilla Warfare and two maps for Warzone. The maps will support 16 to 24 players and will only run you five bucks ($4.99 USD) once again on June 21.

Before you jump ahead and grab the ‘From the Ashes’ pack though you should know that if you have not purchased any Killzone 3 DLC, Guerrilla Games will be offering all three map packs for the game (Retro, Steel Rain and the new From The Ashes) all for $9.99 as a package.  The package is 8 maps for only 10 bucks!   That is one damn good deal, something maybe other shooters should take after.  You can check out a preview of some of the maps on the Playstation Blog.

The Crysis 2 DLC, ‘Retaliation’ Pack is now available for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.  It includes four new multiplayer maps – Park Avenue, Transit, Shipyard, and Compound.  It will be available in the UK on May 18th and cost 800 Microsoft Points or $10(£7.99).  The maps are playable across all game modes, check out the trailer for it above.  Official Site.

Activision has released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops on PS3 and it shows off one of the maps in their map pack First Strike.

The map pack released yesterday for the console and is now available for download from PSN.
