But that’s not all. It seems that EA Sports’ Madden NFL 25 was the top selling title for the month, shipping 1 million units in its first week (this despite its predecessor selling 1.65 million a year ago). Overall software sales were also up by 21 percent to $305 million.

Saints Row IV is in second place, followed by Disney Infinity (which shipped 294,000 units since its debut), Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.

The NPD Group also revealed sales figures for various Nintendo titles, including Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (at number 6 on the top 10), which sold roughly 190,000 units at both retail and via digital download. Pikmin 3 sold 115,000 units at retail and digital combined while New Super Luigi U sold 120,000 combined units after making its debut at stores.

Along with the normal turn based battles and the Badge system featured in previous games, Dream Team features dream stages in which Mario enters into the dream world as Luigi sleeps. Players can manipulate Luigi’s face on the touchscreen, which makes for different effects such as twirling his moustache to create branches to help players get to higher places, causing Luigi to sneeze and create a huge gust of wind to blow away enemies and our favourite part, an army of Luigis.

Developed by AlphaDream, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team will release on August 11th exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. Check out the trailer above to see what the game has in store.

Players will be able to use Luigi’s dream powers to go over obstacles and platform throughout the levels. You can get a taste of the Luigi’s dream powers in the new gameplay trailer above. The game still carries it’s good old fashioned RPG elements such as getting new gear and leveling up to increase Mario’s and Luigi’s defenses and attack powers. It’s suspected that the game will have a lot of content, hidden secrets and funny moments just like the previous entries in the franchise.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team looks quite promising and it’s another first-party title that will be exclusive on the Nintendo 3DS.

3DS is Nintendo’s powerhouse with a ton of good software. Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is coming out on July 12th 2013 for the Nintendo 3Ds in Europe and August 11th in the USA.

First off is Shin Megami Tensei IV, the first official new entry to the main series in almost 10 years. The game has already seen some good success in Japan and will be launching in North America on July 16th with a release in Europe in the third quarter of 2013.

Then we have Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, the follow-up in the RPG franchise starring the famous Mario Bros. This game is a little bit different, and involves some Inception-level tweaking to allow Luigi to help out Mario in various dream battles. It looks as cool as it sounds when we say that means lots of little Luigis running around, causing havoc. It releases on July 12th in Europe and August 11th in North America.

Next up is The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the so-called sequel to the classic Super NES title. Director Eiji Aonuma has already revealed that he’s trying some new things with this title. See if you can notice the same in the latest trailer. Other additions like the bow and megaton hammer reappear, along with the Dark World. Look out for the game to release later this year.

Yoshi’s New Island is the final 3DS title which received a new trailer. As part of the Yoshi’s Island franchise, which spun off from Super Mario World 2, Yoshi’s New Island will be handled by a relatively new developer in Arzest. Check out the first trailer for the game above.
