Available for Season Pass owners, The Tower of Doooom sees Mario and his allies meeting Madame Bwahstrella in a strange tower. Check out the release trailer below.

Madame Bwahstrella tasks them with climbing the tower, freeing Spawny from Kingdom Battle and battling Cursa’s minions. The Tower of Doooom adds a new mode where players begin with four random heroes and Sparks and fight through procedurally generated battles in Expeditions. As you progress, upgrades become available, which you’ll need to deal with the bosses.

New Expeditions also become available over time with higher difficulty levels and cosmetics. One nice touch is that you can restart battles, so an entire run to the top isn’t ruined when things go awry.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is available for Nintendo Switch. Two more DLCs are coming to Season Pass owners this year, including one focusing on Rayman. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.

The expansion will be available exclusively to players that own the game’s season pass.

The company has also released a short teaser for the upcoming expansion, revealing little more in the way of details. The teaser implies that its gameplay will revolve around tough battles as the player’s group of characters make their way up the titular tower.

It is worth noting that The Tower of Doooom will be the only DLC released for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope that will be exclusive to season pass owners. The rest of the DLC planned for the game will be available to purchase separately.

Back in November, Ubisoft had announced a roadmap for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, which revealed that the second DLC for the game is scheduled for mid 2023, while the third and final DLC is slated for a late 2023 release.

Of course, as meaty as the base experience is, there’s more set to follow, with its Season Pass bringing three expansions, one of which will add Rayman as a playable character. Ubisoft has now provided some brief details on when they will arrive, and what they will entail.

The first DLC, titled Tower of Doooom, is set to launch sometime in early 2023, which will see you “face your doom” in a “new combat game mode”. The second DLC, which will see players confronting “a mysterious foe on a new, enchanting planet”, is currently untitled, and will release in mid-2023. Finally, the third DLC (which is also untitled), will add the aforementioned Rayman. Launching in late 2023, the expansion will see Rayman, Rabbid Mario, and Rabbid Peach embarking “on their own adventure.”
