It still has some way to go before catching up with Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which is currently at 6.46 million units sold. Bayonetta 3 has sold 1.07 million since launching in October 2022, while Splatoon 3 is at 10.67 million in sales. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has sold 1.86 million and Pokemon Legends: Arceus has sold 14.83 million.

Mario titles have done very well, with Luigi’s Mansion 3 at 12.82 million, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury selling 11.38 million units, and Mario Party Superstars hitting 10.17 million sold. Mario Strikers: Battle League is the only exception, with 2.54 million sold thus far. Overall, Nintendo has sold a whopping 1,036.15 million Switch titles to date.

Splatoon 3 launched in September for the Nintendo Switch and continues to be a major success, with 10.13 million units sold. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is at 1.81 million units sold, while Nintendo Switch Sports has sold 8.61 million. Pokemon Legends: Arceus may not have hit the same heights as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but it’s still at an incredible 14.63 million units sold.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has sold 14.75 million units since coming to the Switch, while Luigi’s Mansion 3 is at 12.44 million and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is at 10.82 million. Mario Party Superstars sold 9.38 million, while Mario Strikers: Battle League managed to hit 2.47 million units sold. Finally, Kirby and the Forgotten Land has sold a respectable 6.12 million units sold.

Bowser Jr. is a Balanced player who can assist with accurate passes. Birdo is an Offensive type with strong shots. As for the Shellfish Gear, it helps improve speed and technique. As for Urban Rooftop, it can be used for quick matches or to set up as a club stadium.

Thus far, Mario Strikers: Battle League has received six new characters via DLC. In addition to Bowser Jr. and Birdo, Shy Guy, Daisy, Pauline and Diddy Kong have joined the roster. Datamining suggested that ten new characters are being added, so if true, four more are likely on the way next year. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.

Mario Strikers: Battle League is available on Nintendo Switch.

Chief among them is Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which has sold over 5.27 million units worldwide as of September 30, 2022, up from 4.53 million units reported at the end of June. That makes it the best-selling Kirby game to date, exceeding Kirby’s Dream Land lifetime sales of 5.13 million units.

Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch Sports stands at 6.15 million units sold, up from the previously reported 4.84 million units. Mario Strikers: Battle League has crossed 2.17 million units (up from 1.91 million), while Pokemon Legends: Arceus stands at 13.91 million units sold (up from the 12.64 million sales reported in May). Mario Party Superstars stands at 8.07 million units sold.

Various other features have also been added, like Striker Rankings. Completing online matches contributes to your Skill Score and showcases your ability. Strikers Club allows for customizing stadium supports, and you can also spend Coins on fireworks and confetti that trigger upon scoring goals or winning matches.

Changes have also been made to the gameplay, with CPU teammates marking opponents quicker. The charge time of Perfect Free Passes and Perfect Free Lob Passes has also been adjusted, and you can now earn more Coins and tokens from matches depending on the results. The game’s second free update will add two more characters to the game with Pauline, who is a “physical powerhouse” with fast movement and strong tackles, and Diddy Kong, who is a “midfield speedster” with dazzling techniques and high passing accuracy.

Additionally, the update will also bring new gear to unlock and equip, another new stadium, as well as a new Striker Ranking feature, which will show your individual ranking based on battle records of online matches in Quick Battle mode, and “most” online matches in Strikers Club mode.

Mario Strikers: Battle League is available on Nintendo Switch. Its second free update arrives sometime this month.

For instance, Nintendo Switch Sports is at 4.84 million units sold as of June 30th, 2022. It was released on April 29th and has since received an update which added Leg Strap support, new Volleyball moves and much more. The company noted that its sell-through “remained stable without a significant decline in sales pace” which suggests “the potential for long-term growth in sales.”

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is at 4.53 million units sold, having launched on March 25th. “This marks the highest sell-through of any entry to date in the Kirby series.”

Finally, Mario Strikers: Battle League has sold 1.91 million units after releasing on June 10th.

Over 863.59 million Switch titles have been sold worldwide thus far. In terms of new releases, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was released last week, topping UK retail charts and having the biggest launch for the series in the region. Splatoon 3 is out on September 9th while Bayonetta 3 releases on October 28th. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet follow on November 18th with a new Pokemon Presents coming today to offer 20 minutes of details.

The first of these is now available. The free update was recently revealed, and as previously detailed, it adds two new characters to the game with Daisy and Shy Guy, as well as a new stadium called Desert Ruin. The update also adds a new Knight-themed gear set, makes some general balancing changes, and also adds in a couple of new quality-of-life features. Get all the details in the patch notes below.

That update will, first and foremost, add two new characters (pre-launch leaks claimed that there would be 10 post-launch characters in total). One of these new characters was one that fans weren’t happy with the omission with for the game’s launch roster- we are, of course, talking about Daisy, who is now coming to the game. By the looks of it, she’ll be focused primarily on technique, though her strength and passing attributes are also decent.

The second new character is Shy Guy, who, of course, was also among the names that fans were hoping would arrive post-launch. Shy Guy doesn’t specialize in any one area of the game, though as his stats indicate, he’s a bit of an all-rounder. Both Daisy and Shy Guy obviously also have special abilities to use on the pitch.

The update also adds the new Desert Ruin Stadium, while new knight-themed gear will also become available. The latter will improve strength and shooting stats, though that will come at a cost in other areas. You can get more details in the update’s trailer below.

Mario Strikers: Battle League is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has also confirmed that two more free updates will launch for the game before the end of this year.

That means FromSoftware and Bandai Namco’s seminal open world RPG has topped all but one month’s charts since its launch (with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga taking the top spot in April). Not only does it remain the best-selling game of the year in the US so far, it’s also among the top 10 best-selling games in the US of all time.

There’s other interesting placements in the top 10 as well. Mario Strikers: Battle League debuts at No. 3, while F1 22 comes in at No. 12. Overwatch has jumped back into the top 20 for the first time in nearly three years, coming in straight at No. 5, thanks to the recent launch of Overwatch 2’s beta. Monster Hunter Rise, meanwhile, climbed up to No. 13 thanks to the recent launch of its expansion, Sunbreak.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake has also seen a massive jump, going from No. 159 straight to No. 9. That’s thanks to the recent Final Fantasy 7 25th anniversary celebration, with the remake breaking into the top 20 for the first time since May of 2020.

On the hardware front the PS5 topped proceedings in terms of revenue generated (enjoying a double-digit percentage growth year-over-year), and the Nintendo Switch did so in terms of units sold. Both consoles also hold those positions for 2022 as a whole.
