If you want to try the demo, you should probably download it now.

The Daemon X Machina demo that got made available for the Nintendo Switch last month will be taken offline soon. The development team for the game announced on Twitter today that the demo will be taken down on March 11; this means if you haven’t actually played the demo already, now would be a great time to do so.

The developers used the demo to solicit feedback from players to inform further development and refinements on the game. While it’s unlikely they will send out any further surveys to gather feedback from players, you could still play the game as it stands right now and see what you feel about it. I personally found the demo to be rough and not quite as good as you would hope from a mech-action game. Nonetheless, I am also hoping that the feedback taken into account from the demo will help address its flaws.

Daemon X Machina is due out later this year only on Nintendo Switch.

The next entry in the farming/fantasy RPG/dating sim franchise (yes really) launches next year on the Switch.

Nintendo has announced that not only will Rune Factory 4 Special come to the Switch this year – a remaster of the fourth entry in the cult classic fantasy slice of life sim RPG series – but also that a fifth entry in the game is now in development for the console.

The announcement was made last week during Nintendo’s Direct presentation, though the English broadcast did not specify any date for when we might expect the game to launch. A teaser website that has gone up for the game was a bit more specific, however, and said that Rune Factory 5 is currently due to launch on the Switch in 2020—at least in Japan. Hopefully we could see it localized for the rest of the world within that year as well.

As of right now, that’s all we have. If you want some farming sim/dating sim action on your Switch, you can either look forward to Rune Factory 4 Special on the Switch later this year, or you can always play Stardew Valley, which is out on the Switch now, and sort of a fixture on the eShop charts by this point.

It’s time to prepare yourself for the next full entry in the No More Heroes franchise.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes represents, in many ways, game director Goichi Suda at his most unhinged best. However, it still isn’t a true No More Heroes 3. We haven’t had a mainline entry in the franchise in almost a decade (No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle launched on the Wii in 2010).

Suda has previously said that he wants to make a No More Heroes 3, and that he has ideas on where he wants to take the story. And, to be perfectly honest, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes even sets up the stage for a new entry. And now, we could be seeing an announcement for the game happen shortly.

From this point on, there will be spoilers for Travis Strikes Again. Bail out if you don’t want to be spoiled.

A “post credits scene” in the game shows Grasshopper Manufacture very clearly working on No More Heroes 3, which seems to all but confirm a new title is coming. Speaking to Game Reactor, Suda has confirmed that he put the teaser there for a reason, and confirmed that he is attending E3, and hopes to make an announcement there.

“I’m also going to Los Angeles for E3 this year,” said Suda. “It’s been quite some time since I was there last,” he said. “I really hope to be able to make some kind of announcement there.”

Which to me is enough reason to get excited. Hopefully, No More Heroes 3 brings the style of the original two games, and the cleverness of Travis Strikes Again into one package, to deliver what I hope will be the best game in the series yet. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is out now, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
