Kojima has confirmed via Twitter (with a picture to boot) that MGS: Peace Walker HD will have online four player co-op on Xbox Live and PSN, and will run on 60FPS.

“4 people can co-op and it is 60 frames. During loading, characters’ dialogues pop up at random,” Kojima tweeted.

MGS HD Collection, which includes Peace Walker’s HD re-release as well, will release in November for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Online retailer Zavvi will be offering Metal Gear Solid Ultimate HD Collection, a collection that will include seven games, including all four Metal Gear Solid games, Peace Walker and the first two Metal Gears. This Ultimate HD Collection will be limited to only 4,000 units.

This collection, which will be a PS3 exclusive, is listed at the price point of £69.85.

The collection will be including in November, the same month as the normal collection which includes MGS 2, MGS 3, MGS Peace Walker, MG 1 and MG 2.

Hideo Kojima announced (Twitter) a while back that in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, the PSOne Metal Gear Solid will also be included along with MGS2, MGS3 and MGS: Peace Walker, the PSP game that was released last year.

“Metal Gear HD series. The domestic version is a package of MGS2 and MGS3,” he wrote.

“But, there is also a product code for MGS1, and MGS3 is subsistence specification, so MG1 and MG2 which were sold on MSX are included.

“This means, you can enjoy MG1, MG2, MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3 with this one!”

However, it is not clear if this specific collection will be available outside of Japan, meaning regions outside of Japan might have access to just MGS2, MGS3 and MGS: Peace Walker.

Andriasang reports that the Japanese HD Collection will include HD remakes of Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, and a code for Game Archives version of Metal Gear Solid. The MGS3 version included in the collection will be Subsistence, meaning fans will also have access to the MSX originals- Metal Gear 1 and 2. So, in total, the collection will include Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3.

The HD remake of Peace Walker will be sold separately in Japan.

Outside of Japan, according to Adriasang’s report, the HD Collection will include MGS2, MGS3 and MGS: Peace Walker, and the Subsistence version of MGS3 will be included in the collection, meaning, again, we will also get Metal Gear 1 and 2 (which are exactly in their original form, not remastered. Even the menus aren’t changed- the devs wanted to keep it retro). MGS1, apparently, will not be included.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which includes HD remakes of Metal Gears Solid 2, 3 and Peace Walker, was originally supposed to release on November 28th. The release date has now been pushed up to November 8th. Yeah, that’s right, that’s the same day as Modern Warfare 3’s release date. Smart move, Konami (not really).

Still, the series deserves our money, and those who were planning to buy it will still buy it anyway. If anything, this is good news for fans of MGS!
