Much of what players loved about the first game is intact, from Hayato’s ninja tactics to Mugen slicing enemies apart, left and right. Yuki, Takuma and, of course, Aiko also return, and players can still execute multi-kills with their squad using Shadow Mode. Three new main missions and interludes are being introduced, along with a new enemy for Aiko to face.

Ultimately, Aiko’s “choice” could dictate the fate of this foe (who apparently has connections to her past). Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s Choice will be releasing for PC first, though it could arrive for PS4 and Xbox One later. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.

Mimimi Games has a new project in the works but it’s going back to its acclaimed stealth strategy Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun with Aiko’s Choice. The standalone expansion will release in late 2021 and features Aiko in a central role. It sees her battling a new enemy that has connections to her past.

Since Aiko’s Choice is standalone, you won’t have to play the original game (though given the story connections, it is advised). There will be three new main missions and interludes set in Japan during the Edo period. Players will rejoin their favourite characters for “one final adventure set within the story of the main game.” Expect plenty of stealth, subterfuge and sabotage, especially thanks to the Shadow Mode feature for synchronizing the team’s actions.

More details on Aiko’s Choice should be expected in the coming months so stay tuned. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Mimimi Games has also worked on Desperados 3, another acclaimed stealth strategy title.

It’s always great when life can throw some pleasant surprises your way. One of those was the wild west-themed Desperados 3 that just launched. The game is a pretty fun title that many probably didn’t see coming, but it shot up the place all the same. Now, they’ve celebrated the release with a nice throwback live action trailer.

You can see the trailer below as released by publisher THQ Nordic. The whole thing isn’t live action, just a few scenes interwoven in with gameplay. The sections follow John Cooper as he gathers an oddball crew. Not much happens in those scenes until the end, but just wait, it does pop off as only a wild west show can. Do be warned, there is a bit of salty language scattered throughout.

After being delayed from last year, Mimimi Productions and THQ Nordic have announced that Wild West tactics game Desperados 3 will release this Summer. In addition, a new trailer featuring Doc McCoy, the bounty hunter, has been released. Check it out below.

Though Doc McCoy is a medic, he’s also ridiculously good at sharpshooting with his Buntline Special. In addition to long shots, Doc can also use chemicals to put foes to sleep, which will definitely be useful in a variety of situations. We can definitely see him synergizing well with the likes of, say, Isabelle Moreau who can mind control foes and even link them together for some nasty kills.

Desperados 3 is in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It sees players assembling a crew using five different specialists and completing various jobs in the Wild West. Players will venture through towns, swamps and other locales, choosing to either dispatch their foes or take a sneaky approach.

In case you didn’t have enough games stuffing that Christmas stocking, Epic Games’ 12 Days of Free Games initiative has provided another free title. This time it’s Mimimi’s Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, a squad-based stealth title set in feudal Japan. Simply login to your Epic Games Store account, claim the game for free and it’s yours to keep forever.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun takes inspiration from the likes of Commandos, featuring different characters with their own unique abilities. Chaining together different skills with the right timing will help to get by difficult sections. It’s tough but tactical strategy fans may relish the challenge.

Developer Mimimi is also working on Desperados 3 which is out in 2020 so expect even more squad-based strategy goodness in the future. Make sure to claim Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun by 9 AM PST today. After that, it will be replaced by a new title (which seems to be Croteam’s The Talos Principle).

A new trailer for Desperados 3, published by THQ Nordic and developed by Mimimi Productions, has been released. The focus is on Isabelle Moreau, an occultist capable of stealth and manipulation. Check out all the possible ways she can manipulate her foes in the trailer below.

Along with sneaking around and slicing throats, Isabelle is also capable of mind-controlling enemies. This means you can effectively puppet foes against each other. It’s also possible to link two enemies so that killing one results in the other’s death. As strong as Isabelle may be, she has to sacrifice her own blood to use powers.

Thankfully, she won’t be fighting alone. The tail-end of the trailer showcases Isabelle’s abilities in conjunction with other posse members and how they can be executed together. Considering the developer’s expertise with Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, which is also a tactical stealth strategy, the possibilities here seem immense. Desperados 3 is out this year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC – expect more information at Gamescom.

THQ Nordic has confirmed that a closed beta for Mimimi Productions’ Desperados 3. It will take start on July 9th and end on July 21st, 11 PM PDT. You can sign up for the beta here, but only 500 participants will be selected to enter. Interestingly, in its most recent trailer for the game, the publisher noted that it was “entering the final stages of production”.

Desperados 3 was announced last year at Gamescom 2018, shortly after THQ Nordic acquired the license for the same. It’s set in the Wild West as John Cooper leads a gang of five other characters to find his enemy. Each character will have their own abilities but players must also use the environment to their advantage to succeed.

Desperados 3 is slated to release in 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. No release date has been announced till now, but the closed beta taking place this month could put us closer to the home stretch. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

Once you finally get your hands on Red Dead Redemption 2 or if you don’t manage to play it at all, you may want to look for another game not quite of the same scope, but making use of the Wild West setting. If so, you’re in luck because Desperados III has just been announced by developer Mimimi Productions and publisher THQ Nordic.

Mimimi Productions is best known for their work on Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, so they definitely have the experience to bring to life once again the tactical series, Desperados. In this third instalment, you will control five characters who will be led by John Cooper, who is trying to hunt down his nemesis. Players will have a variety of ways to approach a mission and they will have to make use of the environment and each character’s unique abilities to move forward in the game.
