Minecraft Xbox 360 1.8.2 update brings new food

Minecraft Xbox 360 will receive a new update which brings you the ability to breed animals, stack food and stuff. In the video you can see how you can collect different ingredients using your trusted sickle and a bunch of other things. It feel sad to kill animals for food but hey something needs to be done. Food is made in a furnace as you can see in the video.

The Xbox 360 version of the game has been a huge seller and that’s why you see so many updates to the game. This PC version has received spectacular support as well.

Xbox Live activity charts: Minecraft Xbox 360 beats Black Ops

This has to be something extraordinary as Minecraft Xbox 360 edition has beaten Call of Duty: Black Ops to place no. 2 on the Xbox Live activity charts for this week.

Major Nelson tweeted that this is the first time an XBLA game has done this: “Pretty sure this is the first time an XBLA title has hit #2.” Notch has to be pretty happy with these results as Minecraft Xbox 360 is also the fastest selling Xbox Live Arcade game ever.

“In less than one week on the market, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has sold more than 1,000,000 units globally,” Nelson wrote. It remains to be seen how much the game has sold so far.

Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition sells over a million

Notch, the creator of Minecraft still retains that charm on the Xbox 360. It’s clear that the console’s audience love such games considering the popularity of spin-off games such as FortressCraft.

Major Nelson has just revealed in his blog that Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition has sold over 1 million units in less than a week. Earlier it broke the launch records for any Xbox Live Arcade title, and now it has broken the sales record as well.

I wonder if PS3 gets this game eventually or not, because this is a big pickup for Microsoft and one that will probably be one of the biggest selling games of this year.

Notch: “I love working with Microsoft”, Minecraft Xbox 360 profitable in an hour

Notch, the creator of Minecraft is full of praise for Microsoft. And why wouldn’t he be? The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft has become profitable in an hour, and Microsoft is preparing a major press release for the same.

“Well then. Saw the official sales numbers for the first 24 hours of Minecraft Xbox 360, and it’s very, very good. Profitable in an hour,” he said.

He also added that it has sold better than what Fortresscraft did on XBLA.

It’s a known fact that Notch doesn’t like EA that much, but when it comes to working with Microsoft, he has no problems with it.

“Hey, Microsoft! You might be a big and scary American company that likes secrets and meetings and such, but I love working with you! <3,” he tweeted.

As mentioned above the press release which should be unveiled soon will show how much Minecraft sold on the Xbox 360, and considering Notch’s excitement, I’m pretty sure they broke records on XBLA.
