Eidos Montreal’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution is officially backwards compatible on the Xbox One if you own the Xbox 360 version. Since the shooter/RPG will be free next month on Xbox Live Games With Gold, that’s even more good news for potential Deus Ex players.

Sadly, the DLC for the game isn’t backwards compatible. If you have The Missing Link DLC or even The Director’s Cut of the game then neither will work. Square Enix clarified on Twitter that, “For those asking: Missing Link and DXHR Director’s Cut are currently not supported, but the Xbox team expect them to be early next year.”

The Missing Link DLC has been priced. It’s slightly on the higher side but hey, doesn’t everyone like the game? So, I suspect this is going to sell a lot. The DLC contains 5 hours of gameplay, which is a lot and a completely new story where Adam Jenson has to face a lot of tough odds.

The DLC will be available on the PC and Xbox 360 first on October 18th, and on the PC on 19th. It is priced at 1200MSP and $15 on PSN.
