We’re going to get a strong dose of that sweet Suda 51 quirkiness when No More Heroes 3 launches later this year. While that series is, by far, his most popular, the director has been working to create bizarre titles for many years. He oversaw a series of games that are loosely tied together in what is known as the “Kill the Past” saga. While most of those have been localized eventually, the beginning of it all hasn’t. That might be changing soon.

In a tweet from the official Grasshopper English Twitter, the publisher seemed to be teasing that some kind of news related to Moonlight Syndrome could be coming by Friday. It will correspond to a full moon, something that plays a big role in the narrative.

Moonlight Syndrome was originally released on the PS1 in 1997. It was a spinoff to another series, Twilight Syndrome. It’s a combination of a visual novel and an adventure game, and actually predates the founding of Grasshopper. The story follows a young high school student who begins to notice that strange and unexplained things are happening all around her.

It was never localized outside Japan, but events and characters from Moonlight Syndrome play a part in Suda’s first breakout hit, The Silver Case. Could it finally be seeing a remaster, one in English, no less? We’ll keep you updated.
