MotoGP 2013, the the official video game of the 2013 season for the motorsport, will be hitting PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on January 8 2014 and December 18 2013 respectively. Yes, the Vita gets it before. The game will cost  €14.99 on PS3, and €9.99 on PS Vita.

This edition is called MotoGP 2013 Compact, and while that implies that the product will be scaled down, it actually appears to be fairly full featured, with championship, Grand Prix, split screen, and online championship modes all available. And as we already know from the steady flow of information we have had about the game, the simulation seems to be pretty darned authentic, meaning fans of the sport should have some good fun with the game.

Published by Milestone Interactive, it will be available on both PlayStation systems soon. A release for other platforms is not yet announced. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information on the title.

Ahead of the June 21 release date of Milestone Interactive and PQube’s MotoGP 13, the demo version will be releasing on both, PSN and the Xbox Live Marketplace for Gold members this week. Xbox Live Silver members get access to the game a week later on June 19, which is still ahead of the game’s release date.

Releasing on June 12,  the demo will offer players the chance to select between two amazing riders and sprint for three laps on an award winning track, which won the much coveted IRTA ‘Best Grand Prix’ trophy in 2001, faithfully recreated for the game. In addition, in order to give the gamers a quick sneak-peek of the game, all the options will be available from within the demo.

Milestone’s MotoGP 13 will be releasing on the Xbox 360, the Playstation 3, as well as Windows PCs. Make sure to check back on GamingBolt for more coverage of this title as it comes.

– Grand Prix – Pick your rider, team, track and category, then customise your options, set the weather conditions, opponents’ AI difficultly level, qualifying session update with 2013 new rules or the entire weekend race.

– World Championship – Prove your riding abilities by completing the entire MotoGP ™ 2013 World Championship in either Moto3 ™, Moto2 ™or MotoGP . In-depth customization gives you the chance to choose a section of the championship (minimum 4 – maximum 18 races), select the tracks, choose a preferred order or repeat one single track until you master it. The aim is to be the World Champion!

– Time Attack – A timeless game mode where you can ride unfinished laps, modify bike settings and participate in technical meetings to improve your performance. The best lap time for each category will be uploaded onto the Worldwide Leaderboard.

– Career –The brand new career mode lets you build your racing career, race after race, from your rookie debut, through Moto3™, Moto2™ all the way to the MotoGP ™ World Champion title! Advice from your ever present Personal Manager gives you feedback on your performance and assigns objectives. Between races, your Motorhome is the place to be, from here you can customise your rider and career elements or unlock new deals and teams, depending on your Reputation. Be completely immersed in the MotoGP universe!

– Online Multiplayer – Experience the Grand Prix and World Championship modes online, racing against friends!  In the Sprint Season mode you can start from Moto3™ and jump directly to the desirable MotoGP™ class by meeting certain objectives. 

– Real in-game Events – A constantly updated online feed of events based on actual real-world races, as they happen throughout the 2013 season: Relive all the thrills within days of seeing them live!
