<p>Yesterday, Respawn Entertainment announced that it would be partnering with Multiplay for <em>Titanfall 2&#8217;s</em> dedicated servers. Unlike Azure for the original <em>Titanfall</em>, Multiplay uses a mix of dedicated servers and cloud services like Google, Amazon and Azure for its services.</p>
<p>In a new video, lead engineer for Respawn Jon &#8220;Slothy&#8221; Shiring details how exactly it will work and how it helps to provide dedicated servers around the globe with lower latencies. Players can also expect Multiplay to be a part of the upcoming stress test before the game&#8217;s launch.</p>
<p>Releasing on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, <em>Titanfall 2</em> will be a direct sequel to the first game and includes a single-player campaign to go with its multiplayer. Respawn has also promised free maps and modes post-launch though how these will be paid for remains to be seen.</p>

<p>Respawn Entertainment has announced its partnering with Multiplay to provide dedicated server support around the world for <em>Titanfall 2</em>.</p>
<p>Multiplay uses a network of &#8220;dedicated server providers&#8221; along with &#8220;major Cloud providers such as Google Compute Platform, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.” This will allow multiplayer support for <em>Titanfall 2</em> to extend to more areas around the world, especially compared to <em>Titanfall</em> which relied only on Microsoft Azure.</p>
<p>Respawn lead programmer Jon Shiring said that, “The <em>Titanfall 2</em> launch is going to be bigger and better than the last game and what’s really important to me is that the game just works. We wanted to make sure we had an insane amount of scalability and reliability, so we partnered with Multiplay because they have a great deal of expertise in game server hosting and a very clever auto-scaling product that can abstract away different cloud environments that lets us focus on making games.</p>
<p>“We have been working closely with Multiplay to ensure we utilise multiple clouds as well as bare metal servers in every region our game will be on sale.”</p>
