Performance issues caused by last patch will be corrected before next free DLC.

CD Projekt RED is hard at work on New Game+, the final free DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but in case you’re worried about the performance issues plaguing the game on consoles following patch 1.07, you can rest easy. The new patch 1.08 which serves to correct a multitude of performance issues along with fixing other bugs will actually release before the new DLC.

This is according to CD Projekt RED community manager Marcin Momot on Twitter. This of course leads many to think that it won’t be a while until New Game+ is actually out. Considering that the first expansion for The Witcher 3 called Hearts of Stone will be out in October, it’s at least somewhat reasonable to expect both patch 1.08 and New Game+ to be out before August ends.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming free DLC, patch 1.08 and the first expansion for the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Enemies will be stronger, some items will carry over and any difficulty can be selected.

CD Projekt RED’s final free DLC pack for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be New Game+, as announced recently, but it won’t be out this week. In its absence are a ton of questions regarding how exactly the mode would work and community manager Marcin Momot was nice enough to provide some new information.

Momot stated on the official forums that “enemies will be stronger obviously” but in terms of what carries over, players will keep their level and experience, items they’ve acquired (which doesn’t include quest items, Gwent cards, trophies, usable items, books and letters) and alchemy recipes.

If you were at a level lower than 30 on finishing normal mode, you’ll be bumped up to level 30 just for New Game+ and a Clearing Potion will be provided for those who want to reset their skills. New Game+ will also offer the option of selecting any difficulty and you can earn Death March Achievement here.

There are still plenty of lingering questions. Will the New Game+ setting carry over to the expansions? Will we have more powerful variations of Witcher armour? How will this affect level scaling? Regardless, stay tuned for more details on the DLC.

This might be a new RE game in the series or perhaps a spin-off.

We’ll find out for sure on Dec 11, when the VGAs go on air.
