Ray tracing has come a long way in such a short span of time, driven by Xbox Series X and PS5 titles. Here's a look at 10 games that support it.

Following the launch of the Xbox Series X and PS5, the use of ray tracing in video games has been steadily going up. Several excellent titles have utilized the technology and produced fantastic results but there are also some upcoming games that are worth pointing out. Let’s take a look at all of them here.

Resident Evil Village

Only six months ago, it seemed somewhat unreasonable that a game could push for 4K visuals with ray tracing at anything higher than 30 FPS on Xbox Series X and PS5. Not only does Capcom’s Resident Evil Village achieve this but it looks mighty good as well. A quick stroll through Castle Dimitrescu’s main hall showcases the splendor of its shiny floors and the various reflections they create. But even when navigating through the titular village, puddles create realistic reflections. Ray tracing also produces softer shadows and more realistic ambient lighting from sources like fire. And it does all of this while maintaining a consistent frame rate and resolution (both on consoles and the recommended PC hardware).

Get ready to burn all kinds of rubber in these upcoming racing titles.

When one thinks of racing games to look forward to, Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport immediately come to mind. Thankfully, there’s a whole lot more coming up in the near future, whether it’s new IPs or familiar franchises. Let’s take a look at 15 racing games of 2021 and beyond.

Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame 4

Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame 3 released early last year and it was fine. Nothing too amazing but definitely not the worst racing game. Still, Milestone is looking to improve on the formula further with a new Career Mode (which has a new skill tree); the Compound for free roam gameplay with different collectibles and challenges; and an improved track editor. Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame 4 is currently slated to release on March 11 2021 for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia.
