It’s hard to predict what could be showcased, especially with Hollow Knight: Silksong not receiving much new information. Perhaps the recently announced Shadowrun Trilogy for consoles will receive a new Switch trailer. Maybe Giant Squid’s action adventure The Pathless will be formally announced for the platform, especially since it was rated by the ESRB for the same in April.

If so, then maybe Norsfell’s survival action RPG Tribes of Midgard may be announced as well since the ESRB also rated it last month. Ultimately time will tell but new title announcements and a few potential stealth drops seems likely. Stay tuned for more details when the Indie World Showcase airs tomorrow via YouTube.

A Nintendo Indie World showcase might soon be headed our way. At least that’s what prominent Nintendo insider Emily Rogers seems to be hinting at, who recently took to the Famiboards forums with a cryptic message, saying, “Any fans of indie games in here?” Rogers has had a solid track record with Nintendo-related leaks in the past, and has also accurately leaked upcoming showcases (including Indie World shows) before their announcements.

Of course, if one of these does get announced in the near future, there will be legions of people who will, once again, be hoping for an announcement related to the ever-elusive Hollow Knight: Silksong. Whether or not that actually happens remains to be seen, but one can always hope, if nothing else.

The interminably long wait for the next proper Nintendo Direct presentation continues, but while we wait, Nintendo have been dropping other presentations and announcements. The next Nintendo Indie World showcase, for instance, has been announced.

Nintendo recently took to Twitter to confirm that the presentation will air tomorrow, December 15, at 9 AM Pacific Time. The show will be about fifteen minutes long, and it will include updates on announced games, as well as announcements of new upcoming indie releases.

The biggest upcoming indie game currently announced for the Switch is, of course, the Hollow Knight expansion-turned-sequel Hollow Knight: Silksong. Developers Team Cherry have been providing occasional updates on the game over the last year or so, but concrete updates have been few and far between. Hopefully, a release date announcement will be forthcoming during tomorrow’s presentation.

In roughly an hour and a half from now at 9 AM Pacific Time, Nintendo will be airing the next episode of their Indie World Showcase, providing new information and updates on upcoming indie games coming to the Switch over the course of 20 minutes. You can watch all the announcements and updates in the embedded livestream below.

As for what we can expect to see during the show, it’s anyone’s best guess at this point. Without a doubt, Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the most highly anticipated games coming to the Switch, and information on the game has been scant these last few months, so fans will be hoping for some sort of an update on that. Windbound launches later this month, so it’s possible we could hear something about that. Meanwhile, Sports Story recently got delayed, so it’s doubtful whether that will show up. Then there’s Disco Elysium, which is confirmed to be coming to the Switch, so hopefully we get to see it making an appearance.

The next few days are going to be packed with new announcements, with Sony’s State of Play airing tomorrow and The Game Awards on December 12. Nintendo, too, are throwing their hat into the ring, and they’ve announced on Twitter that an Indie World showcase will be livestreamed tomorrow, on December 10.

The show, focused on indie games coming to the Switch, will be roughly 20 minutes long, and will go live at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, and we can probably make a few hopeful guesses about what will be shown. CrossCode was announced for the Switch some time back, but is currently without a release date, so hopefully there’ll be an update on it. Meanwhile, Hollow Kight: Silksong is perhaps the biggest upcoming indie game coming to the Switch, so more news on that is something many will be hopeful for. As far as new announcements are concerned, dare we hope for a Switch announcement for the excellent Disco Elysium? Fingers crossed.

Nintendo recently announced that they would be holding an Indie World presentation on August 19th, and that during its 20 minute-runtime, they’d be sharing details on indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch. Niko Partners senior analyst Daniel Ahmad on Twitter has dropped some info on the sort of announcements we can expect, and if these are true, then they’re going to be big ones.

The first bit of info Ahmad has dropped is the Nintendo will be announcing the Switch release of another “Microsoft / Xbox-first game”, to follow in the footsteps of Minecraft, Cuphead, and Super Lucky’s Tale. Earlier this year, there were various reports that the indie team Moon Studio-developed Ori and the Blind Forest was going to launch on the Switch soon, and one of those reports even correctly leaked Cuphear’s Switch launch, so that remains a possibility.

In a separate tweet, Ahmad then went on to mention that two games will be shadow dropped during the presentation, which means a “this game is available right now” reveal, and both these games are supposedly “hot.” It’s anyone’s best guess what these could be, but 2018’s beloved PC RPG CrossCode was confirmed for a 2019 Switch launch earlier in the year- perhaps that’s ready for release?

Finally, Ahmad also mentioned that we’d be getting “solid 2019 release dates” for Creature in the Well, Blasphemous, Northgard, Trine 4, One Finger Death Punch 2, Skellboy (note: Trine 4’s release date has already been confirmed as October 8). 2019 or 2020 release windows will also be confirmed for “other games.” Here’s hoping Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of them.

That said, there’s no telling right now how accurate this will end up being, so don’t take this as official confirmation of any sort. Either way, we’ll keep you updated, so stay tuned.
