And as far as we know, Amnesia isn't for consoles.

Give credit to print journalists: They know how to keep us guessing. The shameless teases this time are Nintendo Power, who have promised a world exclusive “first look at a stunning new game”. This, after the line that states, “Are you scared? You should be…” to lead into hype for the February 2013 issue of the publicatio, which goes on sale on the 13th.

Looking at the machine-like architecture on the right, the first guess would be Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, except that isn’t a new game nor will it be releasing for the Wii U/3DS any time soon (to our current knowledge). Maybe a brand new horror IP that Nintendo will debut specifically for the new home console?

Given that the Wii U Gamepad is rife with possibilities for horror, it’s not a bad idea at all.

Of course, next month’s issue will also be carrying new information on Pikmin 3 along with an exclusive review of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for the 3DS and the first review of Rayman Legends for the Wii U.

Nintendo Power has officially reported that the publication of their magazines is about to be over. Nintendo Power has been around for 24 years, and now the time has come an end. We do not know how many more issues will be published after the shutdown.

This is very upsetting news for those who have been subscribers for the last few years, and those who have been reading, and collecting Nintendo Power issues from day 1. No more cool covers to look at, no more fan art, or free copies of games. We live in a modern time now where the internet has taken over the print media. Thanks to the new technologies we now have digital software, digital magazines, digital music, and even digital strategy guides

Nintendo Power you will be missed by all the fans, people who just love collecting issues of their favorite magazine of all times. Nintendo Power is in all our hearts, and childhood memories, but the time has come to move on.

It’s a widely known fact that Nintendo is working on two Zelda games. One for the 3DS and the other for their next-gen system, Wii U. As the system is scheduled to launch next year, Nintendo has revealed that they will take more risks with the Zelda formula this time.

In the latest Nintendo Power issue, Eiji Aonuma of Nintendo says that they will challenge the series conventions with the next Zelda. He also mentions that they did take some risks with Skyward Sword as well. Did it work? You bet it did. You can read our review here.

“Skyward Sword is a title where we took aim at all the conventions of the Zelda series. While that may have been difficult, I think that confronting those challenges resulted in something that has a great deal of value,” he said.

“When it comes to Wii U, we’ll obviously want to add new elements that take advantage of the capabilities of the platform.

“I think using that as a lens through which we once again challenge the conventions of Zelda is more important than just making another Zelda game.

“With that in mind, please expect big things from the Zelda series to come!”

So do we, Aonuma! So do we. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
