Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture’s action adventure series No More Heroes was among the most beloved in the Wii’s library back in its day, and the franchise is on the verge of its proper comeback soon. A sequel is due out next year, while the first two games recently got ported to the Nintendo Switch– and could soon be made available to even more people as well.

The ESRB has handed age ratings to PC versions of both No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. Of course, no official announcement has yet been made about the game coming to PC, so the premature listing comes as a surprise- but it should (hopefully) only be a matter of time before that announcement arrives.

No More Heroes 3 is also in the works, as mentioned earlier. Originally due out exclusively for the Switch in 2020, it will now arrive some time in 2021 (though a specific launch date has yet to be announced).

Heel-face turns are nothing new in pop culture, be it movies, books, TV shows and yes, even video games. Still, there’s something poignant about a former enemy joining your ranks for the greater good. Let’s take a look at 15 times an enemy became an ally in video games.

Panda King and Dimitri Lousteau have both had run-ins with the Sly Gang before, the former notorious for helping to steal the Thievius Raccoonus. Still, old enemies become new allies in Sly Cooper 3. After the gang rescue King’s daughter and retrieve diving gear belonging to Dimitri’s grandfather, the two former villains are recruited for the Cooper Vault heist.

“I’d love to be able to do that.”

The fan favorite, cult classic No More Heroes series returns next year via the release of the Switch exclusive Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. Travis Strikes Again isn’t the third entry in the series, though, as much as it is a side story (a third game could still happen, though). But it could soon be joined by Travis’ first two outings on the Switch, if series creator, the ever quirky and eccentric Suda51, is to be believed.

Speaking to Nintendeal in an interview (which you can view below), Suda said that this is something he would be interested in doing, citing the similarly niche Bayonetta 1 and 2 compilation on the Nintendo Switch as a model for what the release could look like.

“Yeah, I’d love to be able to do that, and I am actually talking with Marvelous to be able to realize that. As you know Bayonetta got a 1 and 2 compilation for the Switch. We’d love to do the same thing,” he said, speaking through a translator.

Given that Travis Strikes Again, while looking great in its own right, isn’t quite the brand of Travis Touchdown action that fans of the series love it for, a compilation of the older games will probably be something that everyone will be happy with. Let’s hold out in hope that something like this does end up happening.
