EA’s Origin Humble Bundle which featured games such as Dead Space 3, Mirror’s Edge, Crysis 2: Maximum Edition, Medal of Honor and more, raised $10.5 million by the time it closed in August. Now, EA has announced that it is donating $1.65 million from that amount to the American Cancer Society.

COO Peter Moore stated on Twitter that, “So proud of Team EA in raising $10.5M from the Humble Bundle, $1.65M of which goes to the American Cancer Society.” The Society was founded 1913 and has more than 900 offices in the United States. It works towards the eradication of cancer and is a voluntary health organization.

EA will also be donating amounts to the Human Rights Campaign, Watsi, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and the American Red Cross. The publisher did not specify how much these charities would be receiving. For all the flak the company gets, it’s good to see them doing something positive for the development of society.
