Everything you need to know about Syberia 3.

Syberia 3 is an upcoming adventure game that is being developed and published by Microids. As the name suggests, this is actually the third in what has become a long running series with Syberia 2 having released all the way back in 2004. This game had been talked about being in development for over six years, but has only recently started really getting going on putting the finishing touches on this game.

Originally announced back in 2010, the game has had several release date pushbacks. The game has also added a number of platforms, as Syberia 3 will follow in the footsteps of Syberia and Syberia 2 in being not only on the PC and consoles but also on mobile platforms. While the game does not have an official release date, it is expected to land sometime in the first quarter of 2017.

+ Quick Jump To

1. Development

2.
Development

On 1 April 2009, the series’ developer and publisher, Microids announced that Syberia 3 was officially in development and the game was being looked at as a June 2010 release on the PC and the PS3. The development team said they wanted to release this game as a as a real-time 3D adventure. Shortly after the announcement that the project was real, the company said it was going to have to push back the 2010 release date because negotiations with the writer behind the first two games in the series, Benoît Sokal were hitting a few difficulties. Later in April of 2010, the company announced they were going full steam ahead with a PC version but that problems with Sony were making a PS3 version unlikely. Microids took the unusual step of asking its fans to email Sony in order to convince the larger company there was enough demand for Syberia 3 to force the game to that platform.

During an interview in February 2011, Benoît Sokal announced that work on the game had not even begun because the studio didn’t have the kind of money he had claimed he needed. Sokal said he wanted to make Syberia 3 look like Assassin’s Creed games but the budget would be very large for that undertaking. Sokal also said the game would need a brand new engine because using the same one the first two titles used would lead to failure in the commercial sector.

On November 26 of 2012, Microids announced on their social media accounts that official development on Syberia 3 had started. In the summer of the following year, on 21 August 2013, the company announced that the game had taken the next step forward and gone into production. On August 13, 2014, a year later the game’s first screenshots were released and the title was said to be available in 2015 for the PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, iOS and Android platforms. Eventually, announcements of the game being pushed back were announced for 2016 and eventually the game was said to be coming in 2017. On October 5, 2016 the company announced what they were calling the final release date pushback and said they expected the game to be ready for launch in the first part of 2017.

Story

There isn’t a great deal of information known about the specific story of Syberia 3, but there are a few details that have been announced. It appears the protagonist of the entire Syberia series, known as Kate Walker will be moving deeper into the lands of Syberia. Along the way, she is going to be meeting two new characters in Ayawaska and Simon Steiner. Ayawaska is a kind of leader of an indigenous tribe and she and Kate will befriend one another as Kate travels with the tribe.

The developer has said the mechanics will be very similar to what people have seen in the first two games in this series. The adventure game relies on puzzle solving and point-and-click adventuring more than it does combat.

Characters

The main protagonist of Syberia 3 is the same one who has been the main protagonist of the other two games in this long running series. Kate is an American lawyer who has grown bored with her work a day world. She has traveled to the lands in Russia which are known as Syberia several times, but each time she goes, she finds new areas and new adventures. The developers have not given a great deal of information on many of the characters will make up this game, but they have divulged two new characters.

Ayawaska is one of the new characters in this third installment of the Syberia series. This character is somewhat enigmatic and stands just 1.10 meter-tall. Her character is said to be one that is constantly laughing and smiling and she acts as the shaman of the Youkol tribe. That tribe is the one the series’ protagonist, Kate Walker, had left at the end of Syberia 2. During this third game, Ayawaska will offer Kate to accompany her in the snow ostrich’s transhumance, a real sacred mission for her tribe. Throughout the adventure game, this shaman will provide precious advice to Kate, though Kate is going to have to solve some puzzles in order to truly understand what the advise she has been given really means.

Another brand new character introduced in Syberia 3 is Simon Steiner. Steiner is a genius craftsman who owns the small clock-maker’s shop in Valsembor, the city close to where the Youkol camp settled. Steiner has a rather grumpy and suspicious look, but the 70 year-old man is very kind towards the tribe that have set up camp next to his town. In this regard, he is one of the few people in the town that feels anything other than a desire for Ayawaska and her tribe to move on. Kate will have to gain his trust so that he agrees to build an essential element for her. This element will be needed by Kate later in the game in order to continue her journey with the Youkol tribe.

Everything you need to know about Football Manager 2017.

Football Manager 2017 is a professional soccer management game that is the latest installation of a long running series. The game is developed by Sports Interactive and is published by Sega. It was officially released on PC, Mac and Linux on November 4, 2016. Alongside the full game, the companies have also developed a mobile version that has many of the same features known as Football Manager 2017 Mobile. This version of the game is currently only available on iOS.

The Football Manager series goes all the way back to Football Manager 2005 and is built to focus more on running and building a team and though the onfield action is also played out by the user.

In August of 2016, Football Manager 2017 was officially announced as coming later in the year and the official release date was set as November 4, 2016. At the same time that the developers announced the release datethey said those who preordered the title would get a free copy of Football Manager Touch 2017. This is the streamlined, “transfers and tactics” version which doesn’t show as much action that takes place on the pitch. The developers also announced the Football Manager 2017 Touch which will also be available as a standalone release from the same day.

Those who preordered the game were also told they would get access to Football Manager 2017 two weeks early, as the development team was going to be launching a fully playable beta before the full launch. The development team made it clear those who started a career during this beta phase would have everything carry over once the full launch went live.

Story

There is no traditional story when it comes to Football Manager 2017. Like other sports games, the story that can unfold in the game is one that is more about how a season is unfolding on the pitch. Because this game does have the ability to have the player fully assume the role of a manager of a soccer team from almost any country in the world, there are all kinds of stories that can unfold.

There is an ability to get fired if you are not meeting the goals the computer lays out when it assumes the role of the board that oversees whatever team the player is wanting to control. In this way, there is a story about an executive who might have to try and build a team from the ground up, only to get fired and try and do it all over again. There are a few scenes in-game that will contribute to building the narrative but there is not an official story mode that some other professional soccer games have such as FIFA 17. That game has a story mode built into the game where the player takes on the role of a super star but Football Manager 2017 does not have that kind of an option.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Football Manager 2017 is broken up into a couple of different categories. The first part of the gameplay is one where players are building the team in a kind of management screen. These screens are basically laid out in a couple of speadsheet looking screens where players can look at the total budget that is allowed with each team and lay out a plan to add players and remove “troublemakers.”

There are also a number of features that have been included in the game that works in the part where players are actually taking their teams onto the pitch. This allows the players to see how their efforts in building a dominant franchise have paid off. The developers have said they have included a new camera angle that is low and behind the goal. This allows players to better see the action when it comes close to a scoring opportunity.

Goalkeepers have now also been given the ability to pull off some truly impressive saves. This allows the gameplay during the match to look a bit more realistic than it has in the past. The realism of gameplay has also been souped up with the addition of pre-game rituals. Players will now come out before the game and shake hands and lineup. This gameplay again allows for Football Manager 2017 to have a more realistic look rather than just being a sports management sim game.

One of the things that real life franchise managers have to deal with is making sure they can keep their squad as healthy as possible and when they do have an injury they have to deal with it. Football Manager 2017 has features and functions that allow players to deal with injuries that occur to members of the team. There will be training features that can be selected geared towards keeping players healthy, as well as healing them when they get injured.

Scouting and signing star players is another function that will be allowed in the game in the team management screen. Players are given a number of ratings on a wide range of topics and knowing not only what players are the best now but what players will become the best will be a big part of the gameplay. There will be training to make these players better that can be carried out in game as well.

Teams

The teams that are included in Football Manager 2017 are too numerous to mention but they have teams from almost every nation in the world that participates in the major soccer leagues in the real world. In the Football Manager 2017 Mobile version, there are 15 nations that are represented in the game. The developers have announced there are two new nations in this year’s version that weren’t included in previous Football Manager iterations. Those two nations are Poland and Turkey. Those nations are also included in the full, larger version of the game.

Everything you need to know about Minecraft: Story Mode.

Minecraft: Story Mode is an episodic adventure game that has been produced and developed by Telltale Games. The title is based on the sandbox game Minecraft but goes a bit further in giving characters in this world more personalities and allowing them to do things like go to a local fair. The first episode of the game released in October of 2015 and the episodes continued to release about once per month. The final episode of the game releases on February 9, 2016. The version of the game was originally slated for release on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, iOS, Android and PC and Mac. In January of 2016, the game was also launched on the Wii U.

According to Telltale games the idea to make Minecraft: Story Mode, came about when the team was working on Tales from the Borderlands. The group realized they could have some fun and some success putting yet another spin on a video game story. They also realized according to Job Stauffer, that putting together a story based on Minecraft would give the team a kind of blank canvas and that would create an interesting challenge. Telltale began negotiations with Mojang in early 2013, and started work on the game shortly after talk with the other company got underway. The acquisition of Mojang did not affect the development of the game because the two firms already had an agreement and a contract.

Telltale has said that it made a brand new main character named Jesse because they did not want to disrupt stories that people had already created for themselves when it came to Steve. The company has also said that the other primary characters in the game are loosely designed around some of the other player characters that have shown up in the game. Telltale further said it was careful not to try and explain why concepts and enemies in the game such as creepers. The lack of a backstory is again to stay out of the way of narratives that have already been created by players of the original Minecraft.

Telltale has said this game is more of a family oriented game than some of the other titles in the library. This game was shooting for more of a PG or PG-13 rating in contrast to The Walking Dead series or A Wolf Among Us. Those games were aimed at a more mature video game audience. The company said this was done because Minecraft is geared for a more family atmosphere where as The Walking Dead and Fable shows and comics are geared towards an older audience.

Minecraft: Story Mode was officially announced in December 2014 and its first trailer was released during the Minecon convention in July of 2015. The game has five-episodes and the first released on Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation and Xbox consoles in October of 2015. Telltale also brought the title to the Wii U in January of 2016. That made the release the firstt time a Minecraft game had been released on a Nintendo platform. Minecraft: Story Mode is also the first Telltale Games title that has been released on that platform since Back to the Future: The Game.

Story

The story for Minecraft: Story Mode centers around Jesse and his band of friends (including his pet pig Reuben.) The group begin their adventure at a building convention but soon stumble onto a darker tale that involves a hideous and seemingly unstoppable Witherstorm that is wiping out the entire Minecraft world. In order to try and stop this creature, Jesse and his friends go looking for a team of famous adventurers known as the Order of the Stone. The situation gets more dire as Jesse and his gang come to find out that the Order of the Stone didn’t go underground because they weren’t wanted, but because the members of the (near superhero status) team actually didn’t get along all that well with each other.

Jesse and his group have to try and get the order to find a way to work together again in order to literally save the world. There are a number of other side quests and mysteries that can be uncovered depending on the choices that are made in the game as the player leads the quest.

The gameplay aspects of Minecraft: Story Mode are similar to other Telltale games episodic adventures. The game works through point and click mechanics and the player is able to collect items, that allow them to solve puzzles as well as fight off enemies throughout the game. Players will talk to non-player characters though conversation trees to learn about the story and the characters and will use these trees to figure out what they should do next. Like the other Telltale adventures, some of the choices will directly effect how the episode being played will go and can have far reaching impact on other chapters. These particular decisions are generally denoted by telling the player than an NPC will remember the choice.

Because this is a title based on Minecraft, there are aspects to the game that aren’t included in other Telltale titles. There are elements of building and crafting in this game, though what is being built and crafted tend to follow a linear path and doesn’t have the open world feel players see in Minecraft. Some of the Telltale games allow players to see the story unfold through the eyes of various characters but Minecraft: Story Mode is told only through the viewpoint of the main character, Jesse.

Characters

Jesse is the main character and can be edited at the start of the game in order to reflect being either a man or a woman, and other small edits. The other non-playable characters that join Jesse in the adventure are Reuben, his pet pig, Olivia, Axel and Petra. There is another group of builders that appear to be enemies of Jesse and his group called the Ocelots. One member of the Ocelots Lukas eventually can join Jesse’s group.

The main enemy that Jesse and his team are trying to run down is a man named Ivor who unleashed a planet devouring Witherstorm. The Order of the Stone characters that make an appearance in the game are Gabriel, Soren, Ellegaard and Magnus. There are other various NPC people that the team runs into during their adventure as well as a number of monsters they have to fight or avoid during the game.

Invisible, Inc. is a turn based strategy stealth developed by Vancouver-based developer Klei Entertainment, the popular team behind Mark of the Ninja and Don’t Starve.

Klei Entertainment is also the publisher of Invisible, Inc. making it the second game that they have both developed and published. Running on the Moai engine, which was developed by Zipline Games, Invisible, Inc. released on May 12th 2015 for PC, Mac OS X and Linux. A PlayStation 4 build is also being developed, though it currently has no release date.

Invisible, Inc. first came onto the scene in July 2013 when a “turn based tactical espionage” game was announced by Klei Entertainment’s co-founder Jamie Cheng. During this time, the game was known as Incognita which was later changed to Invisible, Inc.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the game, Cheng has said, “Here’s the idea: if you play the new XCOM — which is a f*cking amazing game — it’s 90 percent positioning. Ten percent information gathering and 90 percent positioning. It’s kind of like, ‘I sort of wonder where the enemy is, but if I position myself well, march forward, and re-position myself well, then I’ll mostly be fine.’ The idea behind Incognita is, we want information to be power. We want information to be a very key part of your experience.”

It was January 2014 when the game was made available on PC for the first time by way of Steam Early Access. A Linux build was offered shortly after. On April 15th 2015, the game was confirmed to be coming to PlayStation 4.

After enjoying comfortable success in Early Access, the game finally shipped as a fully fledged title on May 12th 2015 where it currently has a rating of “Very Positive” based on 1,002 reviews at the time of writing.

Story

Invisible, Inc. is set in a time of mega-corporation dominance, where governments no longer hold any power or control. The plot centers around Invisible, Inc., a privately owned intelligence collection agency that has been compromised and lost many agents in the process. From this point onwards, the agency sets out to restore balance with the assistance of all survivors. This includes the Agency Head, two agents and Incognita.

Gameplay

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-233324" src="https://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Invisible-Inc.-1.jpg" alt="Invisible, Inc.
As referenced by Klei Entertainment’s co-funder Jamie Cheng, Invisible, Inc. is very much like X-COM, but with one fundamental difference. Invisible, Inc. strives to play out as more of a stealth and espionage focused game.

Whilst remaining hidden from opposing forces and avoiding detection at every turn, the player will collect power that will let them use Incognita which is a powerful hacking platform. Using Incognita will allow the player to avoid detection by disabling cameras (and other detection devices) and open locks to aid in progression.

Given that the game operates on a turn based system, when the player has made a move, the enemy will then take their turn and move into position, then attack if possible. Even if you haven’t triggered an Alarm state, enemies will often patrol the area, making constant situational awareness a key factor of the game. If you do raise an Alarm which can vary in it’s intensity, enemy forces of a higher threat can arrive to impede your progress.

Not all of the games locations are a place that the player needs to visit. Many of them are in fact optional areas that the player can visit of their own volition with the sole purpose of gaining assets to further their own ends. Speaking about this, Cheng has said, “The structure is that there is an end mission in 72 hours. Your job is to prepare for that final mission. There are all these different places that you can go to, and you choose to go there for the purpose of preparing. There’s a lot of places that you go to that don’t have an explicit objective; it’s ‘loot the place and get out’, that’s really what it is.”

Characters

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-233325" src="https://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Invisible-Inc.-2.jpg" alt="Invisible, Inc.
The roster of Invisible, Inc. is fairly large and may even be expanded upon at some time post launch. Here is a list of characters that you will encounter in the game:

Agent Deckard

Agent Dr. Pedler

Agent Shalem 11

Agent Banks

Agent Internationale

Agent Nika

Everything you need to know about Dungeons 2

Dungeons 2 is an upcoming dungeon simulation video game with role playing and real time strategy elements that is serving as a sequel to 2011’s Dungeons.

Dungeons 2 is currently being developed by Realmforge Studios, a Germany based developer that was founded by Kalyspo Media as majority shareholder and who will act as publisher for the same. Realmforge has worked on Dungeons, it’s stand alone expansion and the vampire based action RPG, Dark while Kalypso Media is better known for the Tropico series. Dungeons 2 is currently set to launch on PC, Mac and Linux on April 24th and it is available for pre-order on the Steam platform.

Development

Dungeons 2 has already received a fair amount of praise in the lead up to its release as a true successor to EA’s much loved Dungeon Keeper video game but details are fairly sparse regarding its development.

Unlike most games, which are typically announced during press conferences or by way of a press release, Dungeons 2 was given a stealth announcement. Players of the critically underwhelming vampire action role playing game Dark, came across an Easter Egg in the game that served as both the official reveal and announcement of the game, despite initially being considered a joke on the part of the developers.

The Easter Egg came in the form of graffiti in a shadowed alleyway, largely being out of view. The graffiti depicts a goblin-esque character resting his hands on a skull that might be a cane. Text above and below the goblin creature reads, “Brace Yourselves Dungeons 2 Is Coming.”

Speaking about some of the new mechanics and visuals that have been implemented into the game, namely the real time strategy portion, Viktor Linke, Art Director of Dungeons 2, has said, “I think a lot of people expected the first Dungeons to be another Dungeon Keeper, and it really wasn’t. It was more like a tower defence game. So we knew we wanted to have more management for the sequel, like you have to manage your dungeon, build up your creatures, care for your creatures.”

It was this demand for a more Dungeon Keeper-esque management system in the game that led to a fundamental shift in the games art style. Linke goes on to talk about how things have been made “chunkier, bigger” and “more cartoonish”.

The game also made an appearance at GamesCom 2014 alongside other Kalypso titles like Crookz, Crowntakers and Grand Ages Medieval. It was announced to include “2 playable factions, 26 unique creatures, multiple types of heroes and game modes”.

Although information is scarce, the game will support multiplayer for up to four players and stretch across four game modes.

While avoiding giving details about the gameplay modes on offer, Christian Wolfertstetter, Creative Director at Realmforge Studios, has said, “The missions have very different objectives. One time there’s another Dungeon Lord to destroy, another time you will have to collect a special artifact, protect creatures traveling through your dungeon, kill heroes roaming through your dungeon, pervert heroes to join your side or just survive waves after waves of heroes.”

Plans are also underway to make sure the level editor sees a release to the public for use in-game. “We use an in-house level editor to create these missions and we’re planning to make this tool public after the release of the game,” according to Wolfertstetter.

Story

The Dungeon Lord, also known as the Dark Lord, is back on a quest of vengeance that will see him recruiting all manner of creatures from every part of the world. Not content with his domain in the underworld, he is setting his sights on the overworld of the human realm.

Gameplay

Gameplay remains largely unchanged from the original Dungeons game which means the player will be charged with the upkeep and maintenance of Heroes and not the minions that so populate the halls of your dungeons. This is what makes the game so different from Dungeon Keeper.

Perhaps the biggest change in Dungeons 2 is the inclusion of the “Hand of Terror”. This hand of influence gives you control of your units and enables you to give them commands that will let you attack your foes with directly. It’s this new inclusion in the game that has seen it receive the real time strategy classification.

The game offers two gameplay aspects, one of which is a Dungeon Manager Sim in the classical sense and the other mode is set in the outside world in the realm of humans which introduces players to real time strategy.

The game is said to sport a “thrilling single player campaign” that contains two playable factions.

Factions

At this time, only two Factions have been announced. One faction is the Combative Horde, with the other yet to be named.

Earthlock: Festival of Magic is a brand new and upcoming single player turn based role playing game that was funded by the Kickstarter platform. The game is currently being developed by Snowcastle, a small developer based in Oslo. Norway and Salt Lake City.

Earthlock: Festival of Magic is currently being developed for a multi platform launch ranging 6 platforms. The game will launch on PC, OS X, Linux, Wii U, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The title is also set to be published by Magnus Aspli.

At this time, there’s no specific date for the games release but we do know that its set to arrive at some time in 2015.
Speaking to Gaming Bolt, the game’s director has said, “We will be attending GDC in San Francisco in the first week of March this year. We will have a demo booth at GDC Play, so if any your readers are attending GDC this year come find us and try Earthlock!”

Some of the content that you can find in this Wiki was sourced from an interview that was conducted by Gaming Bolt’s very own Rashid Sayed, you can find the interview here. The development team working on Earthlock: Festival of Magic is actually rather small, totalling 8 staff members. This perhaps explains the lengthy development cycle of the game which began sometime in early 2011.

Speaking to GamingBolt, Game Director Bendik Stang said, “We are only 8 people in house on the dev team but we are getting one more member next month that brings a decade of experience with him, and we’re looking for an experienced 3D modeller to join us in the near future. We’re developing the game in Unity which makes going cross platform less painful than it could have been. Our internal builds are running on PC and MAC already and we have tested builds on the XBox One and WiiU dev kits without encountering too much trouble, so we’re confident we can get it done.”

The first time the game was shown to the public was in May of 2013 when a trailer was released that featured footage from a pre-alpha build of the game. Later that year, in November, the developers brought the game to the crowd funding platform where they launched their campaign.

The campaign ran into problems during the holiday season given the influx of other projects seeking funding. Fearing that the project would be lost in the masses of campaigns, the project was pulled from Kickstarter. In March 2014, the game returned to Kickstarter where it was well received. As of April 12, 2014, the game was successfully funded.

The plot of Earthlock: Festival of Magic is being written by the comic book writer, Magnus Aspli.

With the game set to launch across 6 separate platforms, the developers told Gaming Bolt, “We’re developing the game in Unity which makes going cross platform less painful than it could have been. Our internal builds are running on PC and MAC already and we have tested builds on the XBox One and WiiU dev kits without encountering too much trouble, so we’re confident we can get it done.”

When talking about the games visual style, which is vibrant and clean, Stang said, “A lot of fond memories can be drawn from both eastern and western RPGs. We also have a weakness for Studio Ghibli and Pixar. We wanted to steer clear of a monochromatic grey and brown world and have everything feel serious all the time. We wanted colours in there that could talk about the world and support the fun parts of the dialogue in a better way. The characters are colourful in who they are, so the visuals should reflect that!”

Story

The game’s story is set in the magical land of Umbra. An age ago, the planet suddenly stopped spinning for no apparent reason. In the wake of this sudden jarring stop, oceans shifted and drowned the world whilst Volcanoes sundered the earth.

A long time later, in the wake of this cataclysm, the player will take control of Amon. A scavenger from a small desert town that finds himself wrapped up in a power struggle involving recently risen empires.

Gameplay

Earthlock: Festival of Magic is a single player turn based role playing game, but unlike most other titles in the RPG genre it won’t feature some of the usual RPG tropes. For instance, the game will feature a non linear story which is of course the opposite of most story driven role playing games.

When we speak of eschewing common RPG tropes, this includes throwing of the shackles of the random encounter which can often ruin the flow of exploration and narrative pacing in a game, speaking to Gaming Bolt, Stang said “Well, we think that random encounters are less fun than seeing the enemy and allowing the player some chance of manoeuvring past should they want to just get on to where they’re going. This is just a personal thing, of course, but I feel random encounters often becomes tedious when I don’t want to fight.”

When speaking about the games mechanics and team work implementation for the players party, Stang told Gaming Bolt, “The combat pairs is one of the unique elements of our combat system. Basically you will be able to unlock special perks and abilities that are only available to the characters when they are teamed up. We call them friendship abilities. We also have a friendship energy that builds up when you have a team active in combat. Using this energy they’ll be able to unleash pretty awesome combo attacks based on who is teamed up with who.

Players that make any move in combat will likely consume one of the games numerous resources, they include mana, stamina, ammo, consumable items (such as healing items or buff items) and friendship energy. At the players home base, they can farm and harvest a number of different plants and other resources that they can then use to create a variety of items including consumable healing potions and ammunition for their weaponry, somewhat similar to the farming mechanic found in the Monster Hunter series.

Characters

Thus far, we don’t know much about the characters in the game, but we do know that Amon is a scavenger from a small desert town. There’s also a female character in the game, but details are scarce.

Armikrog is an all new upcoming point and click adventure game that is currently being developed by Doug TenNapel, the creator of the popular character Earthworm Jim, in partnership with Pencil Test Studios, who are an independent animation production studio that was founded in 2009.

The game is currently being developed for Nintendo’s Wii U, OS X, Linux, Microsoft Windows and the PlayStation 4. At the time of writing the game is expected to be published by Pencil Test Studios. There’s no exact release date for Armikrog at this time, but it’s expected that the game will arrive in Q1 of 2015. The game will not see a retail release and will instead be made available through your respective platforms digital stores.

Armikrog is a modern game with old school sensibilities that is being developed by using classical sculpting of models, building sets for stages of gameplay to take place in as well as the fabrication of Clay characters and puppets.
The game will also make use of the fading art of stop motion animation to help obtain a unique look and feel that hasn’t been seen in games very much recently.

Doug TenNapel, the creator of the popular character Earthworm Jim who has appeared in games and cartoons, teamed up with the founders of Pencil Test Studios Mike Dietz and Ed Schofield, whom he had previously worked with on Earthworm Jim and The Neverhood.

The soundtrack for Armikrog is being composed by Terry Scott Taylor who had composed the music for The Neverhood. The games vocal talent comes from Jon Heder of Napoleon Dynamite, Rob Paulsen of Pinky and the Brain and Michael J. Nelson of Mystery Science Theatre 3000.

Armikrog itself is partly being developed as a spiritual successor to The Neverhood which was released in 1996 by The Neverhood, Inc and published by the now defunct Dreamworks Interactive, more recently known as Danger Close Games whose doors closed in 2013. Like Armikrog, it too was a clay styled game that was a point and click adventure.

The game came to fruition by way of a successful Kickstarter campaign with an asking price of $900,000, there was also a stretch goal put in place at the $950,000 mark that would see a Wii U port of the game be developed. As of June 27th of 2013, the game was successfully funded and the Wii U stretch goal reached.

The game’s story is focused on the space adventurer Tommynaut. Tommynaut experiences difficulties and crash lands on a strange alien world where he ends up being locked in an odd fortress that’s called Armikrog. He’s imprisoned in the fortress with Beak-Beak, his blind talking dog.

In the video above, in the Development portion of this wiki, you can see a work in progress build of the game which shows off the beautifully executed clay based animations and lovely environments, but the video does little to demonstrate gameplay in any meaningful way.

What we do know is that the game is a point and click adventure game so it may be comparable to games like Kings Quest and/or other adventure games such as Abe’s Odyssey.

Characters

Tommynaught is the game’s main protagonist and is a space faring adventurer that has somehow gotten himself imprisoned on an alien world in the fortress of Armikrog.

Beak-Beak is Tommynaught’s loyal companion, he also just so happens to be a blind dog that’s capable of speech.

7 Days to Die is an upcoming first person shooter video game with survival horror elements mixed with tower defence inspired mechanics and rpg elements set in an open world sandbox that is currently in development by the Kickstarter funded developer, The Fun Pimps.

As well as developing the game, The Fun Pimps will also be acting as publishers for the game. 7 Days to Die was released on Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux on December 13th of 2013.

7 Days to Die is a survival horror first person shooter that is running on the Unity engine which powers a lot of Kickstarter games. The game was first made available to gamers on August 16th of 2013 when it’s alpha build (on windows. The mac version launched on September 12th of 2013 as part of Alpha 1.1) went live to anyone who had pre-ordered the game through KickStarter or PayPal.

Despite it’s first release on the above mentioned date, the game is still only in its alpha state, not even having reached Beta yet. The game was also successfully greenlit after a 16 day period during which it gained over 56,000 votes.

Story

The world has been reduced to rubble and ruin in the wake of a near future third world war. Something, nobody knows what, has caused the dead to reanimate and once again walk the earth acting with a hive mind mentality.
The player takes control of a survivor of the catastrophe living in Navezgane County, Arizona.

Gameplay

7 Days to Die will eventually spawn the player into a randomly generated word inhabited by the undead with the sole objective of survival in mind. This can be accomplished through a variety of means but key to your survival is adhering to the games structure of exploration, location defence and zombie slaying.

As time passes in the game world, the types of zombie that you encounter will grow stronger and more vicious in nature. To counter this, the player is given access to a suit of crafting abilities that allows the creation of defences and weapons. Caution must be taken when creating housing for your character however, the voxel based world has rudimentary physics that requires buildings to have the proper supports or else it will collapse.

Surviving the night isn’t the players only struggle though. The player needs to constantly feed their character and drink a steady supply of water, lest they die of thirst or starvation. This, coupled with weapon and equipment degradation adds to the threat.

Players can engage in multiplayer through player hosted servers, this allows them to create and interact with other player worlds. The currently supported modes of play are Horde, Survival and Creative.

Characters

The game won’t feature characters in the typical sense. The players character is a blank slate. There is however NPC’s in the game world, this is how the player will gain access to most of the games quests.

Note: This wiki will be updated once we have more information about the game.

Mighty No. 9 is an upcoming and massively anticipated traditional action adventure platforming video game that is currently in development by Comcept, founded by the highly respected and influential game producer and illustrator, Keiji Inafune, and Inti Creates, a video game development company formed by ex-Capcom staff.

The game, which is running on a modified build of the Unreal Engine 3 is set for a very wide and varied release, hitting multiple platforms across 7th and 8th generation technology. Set to release worldwide in April of 2015, Mighty No. 9 is slated to launch on Linux, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 3DS, OS X, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

There won’t be a retail release of the game and it will only be available via digital download via the applicable online stores.

Development

The ongoing development of Mighty No. 9 has been an interesting affair to follow with changes being made as recent as a month ago with subtle shifts in palette and design to characters to distance themselves from the original inspirational source material. The game was first announced to the public during a conference at the 2013 Penny Arcade Expo.

The game is very similar to the Mega man series of games, being set on a 2D plane with side scrolling action platforming mechanic. With the game being so clearly Mega Man influenced, but not bearing the title, die-hard fans of the series (or supporters of Inafune in general) are calling the game Mega Man’s Spiritual Successor.

Rather than taking the route of typical game production and seeking funding for the project from an interested party or publisher, the decision was made (before the announcement) to seek funding by way of crowd sourcing via Kickstarter.

The games Kickstarter Campaign began on August 31st of 2013 with a minimum requirement of $900,000 (US Dollars), the project exceeded expectations and had cleared it’s minimum goal within 2days, making the project a success by September 2nd 2013.

Keiji Inafune is without a doubt best known for his work on the iconic Mega Man series of video games which is often regarded as one of the best action platformer games ever created and is still looked at as a benchmark for solid game design. Inafune had a falling out of sorts with Capcom and this saw the cancellation of Mega Man Legends 3, a game which was to be heavily based of fan input. Trying to ensure that the game was based on design aspects that the player community wanted, Inafune said that he wanted to make the project that fans could get involved with. This included voting on character designs and colour palettes etc

As of September 30th 2013, the renowned composer Takashi Tatesishi (who is also an ex-employee of Capcom) that worked on Mega Man 2, alongside Inafune who was serving as an artist, was announced to have signed onto and joined the development team. He was joined by other ex-Capcom staff that would help produce the music and sound for the game.

The crowd funding campaign which had proven to be a massive success came to a close on October 1st of 2013 having raised $3,845,170 in total. This made it one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns to have ever been launched and funded, ranking number 6, but having since fallen as of July 2014. Total contributions brought the entire funding total to $4,046,579, the extra $201,409 came by way of PayPal pledges.

Bonus content was announced for the game that expands it in the same way DLC would, these were introduced as stretch goals and range from full English Voice acting for the game to Additional Stages that would introduce other characters.

Story

Once again, the game is quite clearly a heavily Mega Man inspired game with both plot elements and character design ideas being used.
Mighty No. 9 is an Android named Beck who was created and designed to be a combat robot as part of a unity called the Mighty Number, of which Beck is the 9th. An undisclosed incident involving a computer virus occurs, presumably an attack, and afflicts his fellow Mighty Number members and other robots globally with the will to do wrong.

Beck must combat these robots and Mighty Number members as the player seeks out the villain that threatens all life. This is done with Becks partner named Call. (Beck and Call). The main story involves three scientists, Dr White, Dr Blackwell and Dr sanda, all three are creators and inventors that have some link to the Mighty Number, Beck or Call.

Gameplay

Based on a 2D plane but making use of both 2D and 3D art assets, the game tends to focus on the platforming elements of the game which are worked into the level design which adds designed difficulty rather than arbitrary difficulty like in the Mega Man series. Similar to Mega Man, the player has access to ranged weaponry that is used to combat enemies. Players can, as standard, run and jump to progress through the game, but defeating enemies and boss characters will yield new weapons and new abilities.

Most similar to Mega Man X, the game will start with an intro stage that will probably teach the player the games mechanics through gameplay. Upon completing this stage (which is likely to set up the games plot) the player is then free to choose one of eight stages in any order. At the end of these stages, a member of the Mighty Number will face Beck as an end stage boss. Once the final stages are unlocked, the player can move forward in an attempt to complete the game.

Beck – Beck is the main protagonist in Mighty No. 9 and serves as the players character. The 9th robot created as part of the Mighty Number unit of combat robots, 9 was originally grey-blue-black in colour, but has since been changed to “dazzling white” to avoid any stark Mega Man comparisons.

Call – Call is a protagonist in the game that was made by Dr Sanda and is friends with Dr White. Call is Becks trusted partner and her design was chosen by the community following a poll.

Everything you need to know about Football Manager 2015

Football Manager 2015 is an upcoming sports management simulation video game that is part of a greater series that caters to a devoted niche audience of sports gamers. The game is currently in development by the series creators and developers, Sports Interactive who are now a subsidiary of Sega after being acquired in 2006. Football Manager 2015 is also currently set to be published by Sega, the video game industry veteran powerhouse that develops and publishes titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Virtua Tennis and more recently the Total War series following the acquisition of The Creative Assembly in 2005.

Football Manager 2015 is currently slated to launch primarily on PC platforms, specifically on Microsoft Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems, but it is also scheduled for an iOS and Android launch at some time further down the line. At his time, the iOS and Android builds have no released window whereas the Microsoft Windows, Mac and Linux builds are set to launch on November 7th of 2014.

The Football Manager series is definitely aimed at a specific portion of the sports simulation video game market, and from that portion it’s found a dedicated niche audience that appreciate and enjoy the finer nuances of actually running a football club rather than simply playing the game. With that in mind, it was no surprise to learn that Football Manager 2015 was in development and set to launch in November of 2014.

Similar to it’s predecessor, Football Manager 2014, the game is being developed primarily as a PC based video game, but it too will receive a handheld build of the game that will be developed specifically for mobile devices, including iOS and Android platforms, unlike Football Manager 2014 however, there have been no plans announced yet regarding whether or not the game will make an appearance on the PlayStation Vita. The handheld build of the game hasn’t been given a concrete release date, but is expected to shift before Christmas of 2014.

Gameplay in Football Manager 2015 is largely the same as it has been in previous iterations of the Football manager series. Players don’t actually take part in the game of Football, rather they arrange a squad and train it, pay it and largely control a small economy that influences who can afford which player and when. The general idea of the game is to build a football team that out performs previous teams in order to win.

Despite being quite similar to Football Manager 2014, the game does have a list of new features that change the gameplay in subtle, yet noticeable ways. These new features include:

Upgraded 3D Animation – Tweaks have been made to the Match-Day Engine to give the game a much more realistic look. Animations have been entirely recreated and replaced with motion captured actions for a better sense of realism.

Redesigned Navigation Screens – Developers have overhauled the menu screens to ensure that all the games features are easy to locate and access. This includes a new slide in sidebar that will appear on the left hand portion of the screen. Drop down menu’s have also been scaled down to reduce clutter.

Customisable Manager Builds – You can decide how your Manager will work. Will he be a hands on manager that takes to the pitch in a tracksuit alongside the team, or will he be a tactical manager that wears a suit and sticks to the tactical aspects of the game. Leaving the physicality to the squad.

Scouting System Tweaks – The scouting system in the game has been massively overhauled, it’s now easer to find your newest players. Your scouts will also recommend the best possible replacements for your squad. You can even search for players that are unhappy with their current club, offering you the opportunity to take them on.

Promising Importance – Making a deal or promise with a player and saying that you will give them a contract that lasts a certain amount of time is an important matter, it’s been given its own dedicated page to keep a track of all your promises and contracts.

Media Tweaks – The papers and media alike will all be getting tweaked, this means more questions and more tactical enquiries on the part of journalists will help expand the game and make it that little bit more realistic.

At the time of writing, team listings have not been revealed to the media.
