Pac Man Championship Edition DX + updates the original game with improved leader board functionality, in-game achievements and medals. The patch also adds DLC mazes, music graphics including classic DIG DUG and RALLY-X sprites.

Pac Man Museum will include classic Pac-Man games from 1980’s through 2008’s Pac-Man Championship Edition and  2010’s Pac-Man Battle Royale.

Olivier Comte, Senior Vice-President at Namco Bandai had the following to say about the announcment: “Evolving from a glorious classic legacy into a modern contemporary brand approach and an extremely promising future, we are delighted to bring for the first time ever on PC and consoles, three very different experiences in the PAC-MAN universe.”

The game takes PAC-MAN’s classic and beloved gameplay and twists it into an intense gaming experience giving the long running franchise fresh gameplay mechanics.

The game will be available for $9.99 for Windows 8 and RT and the game is also available on Xbox Live.

As part of Microsoft’s “Deal of the Week” promotion, Pac Man Championship Edition DX will now be available for 400 MS points, that is a full 50% off its original price.

PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX is rated “E” for everyone and available on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 400 Microsoft Points (regularly 800), and the PlayStation Network for $9.99.

NAMCO BANDAI have announced that PAC-MAN Championship Edition will be available for the PSP on the PlayStation Network . PAC-MAN Championship Edition catapults PAC-MAN into the new millennium with fresh graphics, six dynamic maps and a twist on the classic PAC-MAN gameplay. PlayStation 3 and PSP system owners will be able to experience the critically acclaimed PAC-MAN Championship Edition either at home or on-the-go this fall.

PAC-MAN Championship Edition is now available through the PlayStation Network for $4.99.

The utterly awesome PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX was, until recently, available only on Xbox Live. It is now, however, also available on PSN, for the price of $9.99.

PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX dials the intensity up to 11 with new neon graphics, an ear-thumping techno soundtrack, more maps, ghosts, modes, and interchangeable maze visuals.  In addition to the original Championship Edition’s Score Attack mode, where players try to gain as many points as they can in either five or 10 minute variants, PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX includes Time Trials and Ghost Combo.  Time Trials tasks players to run laps around each maze as fast as they can to collect a specified number of items.  Ghost Combo gets rid of traditional points in favor of how many ghosts PAC-MAN can eat by chaining together Power Pellets.  This game proves that no matter how old PAC-MAN may be, our yellow rotund hero will always be ready to captivate a new generation of fans.

“PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX includes two exciting new modes in addition to PAC-MAN Championship Edition’s signature Score Attack mode, where players must collect as many points as possible before time runs out.  Time Trials has players clearing out a set number of laps around each maze as fast as they can.  Ghost Combo forgoes gobbling Pac-Dots for chomping as many ghosts as possible. Players’ scores are determined on the consecutive number of ghosts PAC-MAN eats while chaining together Power Pellets.

Also new to the series are the multitudes of sleeping ghosts that infest each maze.  As PAC-MAN runs past these ghosts, they become angry and chase him until he finds a Power Pellet.  If a ghost gets too close, a slowdown effect will begin, giving the player an extra vital second to figure out the best course of action.  If the ghost train becomes too much to handle, players can set off a bomb which sends all active ghosts back to the center of each maze.

Namco Bandai have released a brand new trailer for PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX. Available this fall for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network, PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX includes more than six courses to play through; each carefully designed to take advantage of their unique traits. Courses in PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX are divided into two halves. When PAC-MAN clears all the Pac-Dots on one half of the map it shifts in real time to a new layout with more dots and ghosts to chomp. Precise skill and fast reflexes are required to master each course and rise to the top of the leaderboards.
