Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix PAX East Trailer Brings the Sparkles

A new trailer for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix has been unveiled by Square Enix. This comes just before the start of PAX East 2013 in Boston, Massachusetts. The HD Remix will contain reworked editions of Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories and the entire story of Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, originally released on the Nintendo DS, along with a freshly recorded soundtrack.

More significantly, this will be the first true Kingdom Hearts game to release on the PS3. It may also mark the first time Tetsuya Nomura has directed anything for the console since Final Fantasy Versus XIII went into development limbo. This may even help the push for Kingdom Hearts 3 sometime later.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix will be releasing in the Q3 to Q4 of this year, exclusively for the PS3. Check out the PAX East trailer to see how the game has evolved since being remade.

Might & Magic X Teased by Ubisoft, Reveal at PAX East 2013?

As far as old-school Western RPGs go, many people will always look to Fallout, Baldur’s Gate, Ultima and even Diablo. Most of them have their own valid claims to fame, but one franchise that somehow got lost in the cracks of time was Might & Magic. Since picking up the license, Ubisoft hasn’t really made any indication of bringing about a new Might & Magic game…until now.

A new teaser site has been put up and all evidence points to it being Might & Magic X. There’s an icon that says “m&m” and an enormous “X” after all. How hard is that to guess? A tougher guess would be when the game will be showcased, and it seems PAX East 2013 in Boston on March 22nd to 24th might just be the place.

After the disastrous run of Might & Magic VIII and IX, the project was assumed to have been gone. But Might & Magic X has actually been floating around as an open-source project since January 2012; several developers contributed to it, despite not having a website.

Blizzard Showcasing “Something Different” At PAX East 2013

Starcraft and World of Warcraft developer Blizzard is inviting gamers to PAX East 2013 in Boston, Massachusetts on March 22nd for “something different”.

In a promotional image released for the same, Blizzard states that it’s neither a sequel nor expansion that we’ll be seeing – and it’s certainly not that next generation MMO that everyone is feverishly talking about. That they’re “excited for you to get your hands on” it indicates that it just may be playable as well.

It remains to be seen just what Blizzard is working on. Maybe they’ll be allowing gamers to play Diablo 3 for the PS3 and next generation PS4 at the Expo? Then again, considering how it’s different from their other games (and not a sequel), that may not be the case. Stay tuned for more details as PAX East 2013 is right around the corner.

For all we know, Starcraft: Ghost makes its eagerly awaited return to the spotlight. Or so we still dream.

Ubisoft PAX East 2013 Line-up Includes Assassin’s Creed 4, Splinter Cell: Blacklist

After revealing Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and pretty much raising the stakes on gamer’s expectations, Ubisoft has officially confirmed its games lineup for the upcoming Penny Arcade Expo, PAX East 2013.

The full list of titles includes Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Watch Dogs, ShootMania Storm, Might & Magic Heroes VI Shades of Darkness, Might & Magic Duel of Champions Online Card Game, Spartacus Legends and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger.

Of special note, AC IV has been dubbed “an exclusive look” while Splinter Cell: Blacklist will feature a new demo. Watch Dogs raises some suspicions because it’s taking place in a closed theater. Given how Ubisoft is promising some “never-before-seen” content, we’d wager that this is either a look at some exclusive stuff for the PS4 version or something even more exciting.

Deep Silver Teases “Something Huge” at PAX East, Saint’s Row 4 Rumoured

Deep Silver’s Aubrey Norris is promising something big for PAX East 2013, taking place in Boston on March 22nd to 24th. She recently tweeted that:

Dear media:You’re going to want to be at PAX East this year.If not, you’re going to be missing out on something HUGE. Just FYI!

It’s interesting because of the word “HUGE” in all caps (subtle). But so is the invitation for the media, indicating something noteworthy will be revealed.

Interestingly, design director from the very first Saint’s Row Chris Stockman recently tweeted that Saint’s Row is currently in development.

Deep Silver/Koch Media were the lucky bidders who picked up the rights for THQ’s Saint’s Row series. However, if it really is true that Saint’s Row 4 is slated to arrive in August, then aside from GDC, PAX East would be the best place to reveal it.

Oddly, the August release puts it squarely one month prior to the release of Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V. Does it make sense, considering the mammoth hype?

Regardless as with most rumours, take this with a grain of salt.
