The public reveal includes the 5 launch classes, including the Assassin, Shaman and Warden, along with a massive arena dubbed “Capital Siege”. Character companion abilities such as the Revenant, Fire Elemental and Dire Bear will also be showcased. And for those who couldn’t get into the closed beta due to high demand – attend PAX Prime and visit Dark Vale’s booth, and you’ll receive a free VIP pass to the beta.

As a multiplayer-only shooter, Forge allows abilities, strategy and pacing, much like PvP titles such as Planetside 2. In light of the latter, the overall scale and variety of the game should be interesting to see. Forge is also being developed using Unreal Engine 3 technology.

PAX Prime will run between August 31st to September 2nd.

And for those of you who take the time out to head to Konami’s booth during the show, you’ll receive a limited edition t-shirt. This same shirt will be limited to show attendees alone.

Konami will showcase Revengeance and take pre-orders on the floor at PAX Prime at booth 442.

Metal Gear Rising is currently scheduled for a February 2013 release for the XBox 360 and Playstation 3. It follows good ol’ merciful Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series as he goes about brutally murdering the wicked with style and cybernetics. The power of emo could also be said to be a guiding factor, but meh, robot dogs.

2K Games have revealed their plans for their showing at PAX Prime this year. Borderlands 2 and XCOM will be leading the charge.

Hosted by the “trio of 2K” Greg, Sasha, and Ronnie2K, this year’s event adds a special treat for PAX Prime attendees. Giving fans the opportunity to actively participate, 2K will be adding a panel directly in front of their booth.

2K has also partnered up with the Kona’s Korner Production team, who will be on hand to ensure the event is covered in its entirety and streamed LIVE via 2K’s Twitch TV channel.

PAX Prime will be held at the Washington State Convention Center from August 31 through September 2, 2012.
