Is anyone surprised at this point?

At this point, this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. Fortnite for Nintendo Switch was confirmed earlier today, and it will be cross play with every platform on the market that Fortnite is on- that means Xbox One, iOS, Android, PC, and Mac. Except for PS4, because, yes, as usual, Sony is blocking access to cross platform play.

This is not a theory- all of this has been confirmed explicitly. Epic Games’ Nick Chester confirmed on Twitter that cross platform play will be allowed between all platforms, except for with the PS4. While the PS4 is allowed to play with PC, Mac, and iOS users, it will not be able to play with the pool of players on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Which is pretty shitty, but also par for the course. Like I said, who’s surprised at this point anymore. Fortnite is available now on iOS, PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
