We recently revealed that PC Gamer was teasing Valve for its next issue, with a little note indicating “Half Life 3 development”. However as staff writer Chris Thursten recently clarified on Twitter, it was nothing more than a bad joke.

However, there is still an ARG game on-going which seems to be related to Half Life in some way or the other – or at least we hope it will be since it seems there will only be more insanity to follow for those who dig too deep.

For now, it seems we’ll need to keep going in our anticipation for the threequel. Stay tuned for more, and rest assured that Half Life 3 isn’t coming any sooner.

In a scan from the latest issue (via Reddit), it shows a faux elevator with several buttons on it. The 13th floor apparently leads to Half Life 3 Development, although it has been scratched out in favour of something else.

That’s not all though. Steam Support recently tweeted something that was rather odd in retrospect.

We’ve been teased time and time again for Valve’s long awaited first person shooter that continues the story of Gordon Freeman as he fights to wipe out the Covenant threat once and for all. Following off of Half Life 2: Episode 2 – the third episode which is still pending – only concept art and designs have been uncovered in the past few years.

Take it all as a rumour – as usual – but if this were indeed Half Life 3 being unveiled, how awesome would it be at last?
