A film series for the popular Persona 3.

Atlus, the company behind Persona, the popular spin off of the Megami Tensai series, recently announced that they are making a series of films based off of one of their most successful RPG titles, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3.

Earlier today it was announced that the film, Persona 3 The Movie: The Spring of Birth will see release in Japan on November 23rd of this year.

As indicated by the trailer, the movie will be produced in the classic style of Japanese Anime, with no 3 dimensional elements. At this time it is unclear as to how many entries there will be in the Person 3 film series, just that this one won’t be the last.

As of now, there are no signs of a US release of the film, but if the past is any indicator, at least a subtitled version will make it’s way into the US pending the success of the film. Whether or not an English dubbed version will hit stores (or even theaters) is up in the air.

Which Persona game do you think would make the best film adaptation?
