Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 will get a reduced price beginning April 10

Konami also announced that the game sold 1 million throughout Latin America.

PES 2012 will be re-released for PlayStation 3, Xbox360 and PC at a new discounted price point.

Key advances include stunning visuals and lighting effects, better referee AI, and a wealth of new elements that extend the game’s range. Football Life mode showcases the different career paths in the sport, and allows users to experience a career as a player, manager or owner. Football Life is an umbrella title spanning the popular Master League and Become A Legend modes, both of which have been enhanced for the new game. Also included is the all-new Club Boss mode, where you steer a club fiscally. The hugely popular Training Challenges have also returned, allowing users to refine their set-piece skills and to get to grips with the possibilities afforded by the new Teammate Control system, while the stunning myPES option allows users to sync the game with Facebook and create statistics and leagues for friends and family.

Konami today released details for the Winter Data Pack, the latest free DLC for PES 2012, which will be released on March 6th for PlayStation, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

The download brings all team rosters up to date and implements all the transfers that took part during the January transfer window. The update also updates the kits of the Spanish, German and Japanese national sides and adds eight new boot styles from adidas and Nike. In addition, this update will feature the new adidas Finale Munich ball that will be used in this year’s UEFA Champions League final.

The new Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 winter data pack will be available for download on March 6th via perspective online networks for PS3, XBOX 360 and Windows PC.

Konami has outlined the next content update planned for Pro Evolution Soccer 2012.

The publisher has committed to continually enhancing and improving its football title, and will release a new update to refine key areas of its gameplay. The download will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this month, and further improves the goal keepers, makes small tweaks to outfield play, and also introduces searches for online pairings for players using the same level of pass support.

All these items have been implemented following feedback from the vibrant PES community, and show KONAMI’s dedication to continually improving the PES 2012 experience.

The Japan sales charts for the week are in, and there are some really impressive figures in here, PES 2012’s sales being the most shocking. Almost outdoing Dark Souls, which sold a little over 300,000 in its first week in Japan, PES 2012 has gone on and sold a whopping 272,036 copies, holding off Namco Bandai dating sim AKB1/48: If I Loved an Idol in Guam for PSP, which sold an almost equally impressive 236,587.

The gap between the second and third place, however, is much larger, with F1 2011 selling 26,574.

On the hardware front, each and every system saw a drop in sales, but the 3DS still managed to maintain its lead, selling 58,504 units, with the PS3- 30,362 units- and PSP- 25,401 units- coming in behind.

Konami is to release a free downloadable update for the PlayStation, Xbox 360 and Window PC versions of the game, which will update the club team rosters in line with all current transfers.

In total 160 clubs will be updated, with hundreds of players benefiting from more realistic stats and abilities that are tailored to their real-life playing style.

The DLC will also add 13 new styles of boots to the game, with new makes from adidas, Puma and Nike implemented, while the kit updates will see 29 teams brought in line with their current strips, including Real Madrid, Sporting Lisbon and Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Konami have announced that Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2012 App for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is now available on the App Store.

The PES 2012 App offers an extensive choice of licensed teams, both national and club, and is also the only game to exclusively feature the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League competitions. It also features fully licensed representations of Spain’s Liga BBVA, France Ligue 1, and many others. Thus, players can opt to play full seasons, compete in cup competitions, or play friends online via wi-fi or Bluetooth connections. Matches are further enhanced with full commentaries, and the game also includes mini-games where players can opt for a Quick Play match or practice shooting skills via the brand new Free Kick Challenge.

The Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 App is available for free from the App Store for iPad, iPhone or iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore.

Konami have announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 is now available in the Americas for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 goes further in giving the user total control, offering AI innovations and gameplay additions that cover every aspect of real football. Central to Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 is the all-new Active AI system which ensures that teammates work to close down space, defend zonally and hold their line to minimize attacking options. As such, on defense their teammates will look to hold the defensive line and mark oncoming offensive support. Conversely on offense, when attacking, the player will see that their teammates will make dummy runs, draw defenders, and work to give the player more options in attack.

PS3 owners will be glad to know that there is a big patch waiting for them when they boot the game today. The patch adds 3D support to the game. So if you have a 3DTV then rejoice.

It also adds ‘myPES’ an online social network for the franchise that is still in the beta stage. Konami has planned a lot of social features for the game including statistics tracking and a lot more.

PES 2012 is a game designed to play with and against friends, and the game now offers matches for up to eight people via the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC versions. To complement this, Community Mode has been improved to give users access to a wider range of opponents. Community groups of up to 100 users can be joined, and there are Bulletin Boards for members to pass on messages to each other. Similarly, inter-community matches have been incorporated to add rivalry between the groups.
