The indie survival horror title is finally coming to PS4 despite delays.

Remember The Forest, an open world survival horror title that was about survival and crafting while exploring a mysterious island? Developed by Endnight Games Ltd, the game is still available on Steam Early Access and was pegged for release on PS4 as far back as 2015.

That didn’t happen of course but a new trailer from PlayStation Experience 2017 indicates that it’s finally coming to the console in 2018. Along with the ability to play solo, there will be some co-op elements in the game as indicated by the trailer.

Other than that, you can expect the same mechanics as before. Chop up some trees, create weapons, establish a base camp and more importantly try to stay alive amidst ravenous hordes of island denizens. You can even chop up bodies and create effigies because why not join the madness yourself?

The Forest will release on PC next year as well so this is good news for Early Access players as well.

The remaster will contain new Patapon, a customizable Hero Patapon and PS4 Pro support.

Along with Medieval Remastered, Sony Interactive Entertainment also confirmed at PlayStation Experience that Patapon 2 Remastered was also in development. The 1080p remaster will release for PS4 in 2018 and will support dynamic 4K on the PS4 Pro. A more concrete released date will likely emerge next year.

A remaster of Patapon 2 which released in 2008 for the PlayStation Portable, the remaster will include nearly a hundred missions, new Patapon characters (including bird riders, Robopon and magicians) and a fully customizable character known as the Hero Patapon. Players can choose their own unique combat style for the Hero Patapon, obtain new abilities and much more. There are also three more Commands and Miracles being added to go with the variety of bosses, levels, items and mechanics.

Patapon 2 Remastered’s gorgeous art style, crafted by graphic artist Rolito, comes to life in 1080p and looks even better than Patapon Remastered which released in August for PS4. Check out screenshots for the sequel’s remaster below.

The gorgeous-looking hack and slash title still looks as interesting as ever.

UltiZero Games’ Lost Soul Aside has been out of the spotlight for quite some time, having garnered attention for being developed solely by Yang Bing. However, progress has been made with his new studio as a trailer for the game emerged in the wake of PlayStation Experience.

Currently playable in demo form for those who attended the show, the footage clarifies that this doesn’t represent the game’s final quality. That being said, we’re immediately impressed by the fast paced hack and slash gameplay as the player decimates groups of enemies with ease. A large looming boss is also showcased which further highlights the sheer range of movement available to the player.

Lost Soul Aside is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 though it has been clarified to be a timed exclusive. It currently has no release date but we’ll definitely be waiting on more information for it in the coming months.

Creative director Cory Balrog hopes players will treat the exploration as a "tour bus" of sorts.

SIE Santa Monica took to the stage at the PlayStation Experience 2017 conference to reveal some more information God of War, which is out in early 2018 for PS4. Creative director Cory Balrog was discussing a few things about the game and revealed that it would take about 25 to 35 hours to complete.

We’re not sure if this is a typical playthrough or a completionist run but that would make it significantly longer than previous games in the series. Balrog also noted that the game will have more exploration with different paths players could take. He’s hoping that the game will be treated as a “tour bus” of sorts.

God of War will presumably be releasing on March 22nd 2018 if a leaked PlayStation Store listing is anything to go by. The game will see Kratos transported in to the world of Norse gods where he travels with his son on an unknown quest.

Hunt to the tunes of classic Mega Man songs according to the latest trailer.

Capcom’s Monster Hunter World will see its PS4 beta kick off tonight with the pre-load currently available for the console. To that end, a beta guide was released, offering a few pointers on how to get going. However, in an interesting twist, Capcom also revealed crossover content for Mega Man – and what appears to be a playable classic Mega Man – for the game.

The crossover content includes classic Mega Man songs that you can hunt to with different weapons having different iconic themes tied to them. This isn’t the first crossover promotion that Monster Hunter World has featured for PS4.

At Tokyo Game Show, it was announced that Horizon: Zero Dawn’s Aloy would be playable in-game or at least accessible via an armour set that bestows the same look and her signature bow. Monster Hunter World releases on January 26th 2018 for Xbox One and PS4 while the PC version will be releasing some time later. What do you make of Mega Man’s appearance? Let us know below.

With a myriad of announcements at Sony’s PlayStation Experience keynote, it was surprising to hear the publisher announce that The Last Guardian would be heading to PlayStation VR. You can expect a free demo for the game to also release on December 12th for the PlayStation Store in case you’re on the fence about it.

That’s not all though. WipeOut Omega Collection will also be receiving a VR update in early 2018 and will see all the game’s tracks and modes playable in VR. New ships, interiors and much more will also be added for that VR immersion.

The announcements aren’t all that surprising to be honest – Sony announced that PlayStation VR had already sold over 2 million units worldwide since releasing last year. It’s since had over 150 titles and will receive even more games down the line. Whether any more third party developers will hop on the bandwagon remains to be seen but it’s good to see Sony supporting the device strongly.

Early-bird tickets are currently available for both days at $65.

We already know that Sony’s PlayStation Experience will be taking place again this year but now the company has officially announced dates for the same. PlayStation Experience 2017 will take place on December 9th to 10th at the Anaheim Convention Center in California and tickets are currently available to purchase.

Currently, you can pick up the first run of early-bird tickets for both days at $65. Two day tickets normally retail for $75. If you purchase the early-bird tickets, then you can attend a special event on December 8th that allows you to meet game developers and various personalities of the PlayStation brand.

As for the event itself, Sony is expected to showcase some new games while dating others like Detroit Become Human, Spider-Man and maybe even The Last of Us: Part 2. This year again, the Capcom Cup 2017 will follow the conclusion of PlayStation Experience and will see the Grand Finals of the Street Fighter 5 competition held on December 10th.
