Chest hair that blows in the wind. What a time to be alive.

The PlayStation Experience Event brought together the developers of Naughty Dog’s upcoming game, Uncharted 4, for a discussion about some of the games features and general game design. With Uncharted 4 predicted to be a massive blockbuster hit, fans were anxious for any information made available at all.

The developers revealed that by making use of the power in the PlayStation 4 they are able to give Nathan Drake, the game’s hero and protagonist, a total of 800 facial animations. This is in stark contrast with the PlayStation 3 games which currently only has 120 facial animations.

A bizarre boast that is without a doubt the first time I’ve ever heard of something so superfluous in a game is that Drakes chest hair is actually influenced by the wind. I’m honestly not sure if that’s a brilliant attention to detail or a waste of in game resources.

They also revealed that a “considerable amount of time” has passed since Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, thus explaining Nathan and the “support cast” look noticeably older.

The PlayStation Experience is on its way, and the hype for the Sony exclusive event is growing and growing. Set to take place in Las Vegas, the event will play host to all manner of Sony related content, be it publisher and developer talks and exclusive hands on time with upcoming games.

In their newest teaser for the event, game developer David Jaffe makes an appearance. Covered in and eating…something, he sports a manic look and spouts gibberish at the camera. People took the undeniably weird teaser as a hint at his new game which they assumed to be horror orientated. Jaffe then took to Twitter to clarify that his next game isn’t in fact a horror title and that he would love to do one, though he would hate to go up against PT, also known as Silent Hills.

He said, “Those expecting a horror game from us (much as we’d love to make one 1 day) will be disappointed. Plus I’d hate 2 go against the amazing PT!”

What do you think of this then? What’s Jaffe up to?

Sony has made it known that the exclusive video game announcement that is expected to at the PlayStation Experience event might be from a “Third Party Dev” and that it’s not “Agent” from RockStar Games, they’re probably too busy with GTA V. Gamepur writer, Sehran Shaikh reached out to GameBlog France Editor Romain and asked if the announced game would be Agent.

Romain is already aware of at least one announcement. He was answered “It’s not that. That’s the only thing I’ll say.” Sony have been generating a lot of buzz for their upcoming PlayStation Experience event which is expected to be an incredibly impressive celebratory event for the PlayStation community and all gamers in general.

There’s going to be exclusive hands on demo’s of many games at the show and on the show floor. Stay tuned for more news and updates and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

If you’re heading out to Las Vegas this December and you happen to be a gamer, then the chances are pretty good that you’re bound for the PlayStation Experience event being hosted by Sony. Tickets went on sale October 24th and since then the event has been hyped up considerably with all manner of show events being detailed. One of the most alluring aspects of the show is the amount of upcoming titles for PlayStation that will be playable.

To that end, Sony has revealed a number of new playable games that attendees can get their hands on. The list goes as follows, with more games possible being announced in the coming days and weeks:

Armikrog – a point and click adventure game created by the developers of the original (and excellent) Earthworm Jim video game.

The Banner Saga – it’s an award winning turn based strategy game.

Kyn – a tactical role playing game developed by a Holland based duo.

Toren – An Indie game developed by a newly formed Brazilian studio.

Roundabout – I’m honestly not sure how to describe this one. Independent research time.

Relatively – A game with a fun twist on the established physical laws.

Lost Orbit – A “dodge ’em up” with a pathetic hero.

Are you going to the show? Let us know.

At least it's not a dubstep montage!

Earlier in the week, PlayStation figurehead Scott Rhode told us that the PlayStation Experience Event was “unprecedented” and that “This is an event for the fans”. Well as if to emphasize and reiterate upon that, Sony have released the PS4 – PlayStation Experience Trailer.

The trailer looks at what has been at the core of all gaming, the trash talking and epic victories etc, and boasts that the show is going to have 400,000 Square Foot of PlayStation goodness as well as panels with the developers and creators that are responsible for some of your favourite games.

Exclusive hands on gameplay demo’s and event exclusive merchandise are also going to be available on site are just a couple of the many thing you can expect to see at the show.

Tickets go on sale from October 24th at 9am PST and a one day pass will skin you £50 whereas a two day pass reaches up to $90. Get hype?
