The ’22 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), ’24 Hyundai Elantra N TC, and a new GT Café Extra Menu also arrive today at 10 AM PST for free.

After delivering its biggest update and one paid DLC with 50 new races to close out 2025, Polyphony Digital’s incredible support for Gran Turismo 7 continues in the new year. The next free update, 1.67, goes live at 10 AM PST with three new vehicles: The ’22 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), ’24 Hyundai Elantra N TC, and Xiaomi ’25 SU7 Ultra.

Outside of being an electric vehicle, the SU7 Ultra is especially notable because it offers a blinding 1,527 BHP. It can be purchased from Brand Central alongside the new Hyundai and Porsche vehicles. Other new content includes Extra Menu No. 52 in GT Café, dedicated to the Hyundai N, which becomes available at Collector Level 58 and above.

World Circuits receives three new events: the World Touring Car 600 on Nürburgring Nordschleife, World Touring Car 700 on Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, and World Touring Car 800 on Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit. You can also access California Roadsides as a new Curation in Scapes.

Those interested in the Online Qualifiers for the Gran Turismo World Series can participate in Round 5. It all comes to a head on January 31st, after which the Nations Cup Online Qualifiers takes place from February 11th to 28th over six rounds.

"The status that Gran Turismo 7 is in now is probably the best of any Gran Turismo titles that we've had in the past," noted the producer.

Fresh off the Spec 3 Update, Gran Turismo 7’s biggest yet, producer Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed that the racing sim has over two million monthly players. For a title that’s currently on its fourth year of post-launch support, the only thing that’s more surprising is that the number of new users is still increasing.

At the Gran Turismo World Series 2025 World Finals, Yamauchi revealed during a round-table interview (as reported by GTPlanet) that. “The status that Gran Turismo 7 is in now is probably the best of any Gran Turismo titles that we’ve had in the past. We’ve never experienced this phenomenon before, and neither has PlayStation.”

That Gran Turismo 7 has achieved this without a “price drop” strategy is all the more impressive. Of course, it’s not just the Spec 3 Update – fans also got the $30 Power Pack, which added 50 new races in 20 categories, including 24-hour events. Players can take on GT Sophy 3.0, the latest version of the series’ racing AI, and unlock new vehicles.

Polyphony Digital hasn’t indicated that support will end anytime soon, but you have to wonder if that will change in the coming years, especially with the PS6 reportedly targeting a 2027 release.

The DLC also features "six unique cars specifically tuned by Gran Turismo," which can be acquired by finishing races and collecting Stars.

Out tomorrow at midnight PST sharp, Gran Turismo 7’s Spec 3 update promises to be Polyphony Digital’s biggest to date for the racing sim. Thanks to a new PlayStation Blog post, we’ve finally learned the two new tracks and eight vehicles (if they weren’t obvious enough in the trailer) that are coming alongside new World Circuits, Extra Menus, and more.

First up, the new vehicles, which include the Ferrari 296 GT3 ’23 and 296 GTB ’22, the FIAT Panda 30 CL ’85, the Gran Turismo F3500-B, the Mine’s BNR34 GT-R N1 base, the Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R ’97, the Polestar 5 Performance ’26, and the Renault Espace F1 ’95. You’ll be able to take these for a spin on Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

Both have new events to partake in, including:

European Sunday Cup 400: Goodwood Motor Circuit

Japanese FF Challenge: Blue Moon Bay Speedway – Infield A

Nissan GT-R Cup: Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve

Ferrari Circuit Challenge: Yas Marina Circuit

World Touring Car 800: Yas Marina Circuit

Super Formula: Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve

Gr.1 Prototype Series: Yas Marina Circuit

The Collector Level has been raised from 50 to 75, and as you’ve probably surmised already, that means new Extra Menus in GT Cafe. Check out the full list below, which includes some world-famous brands:

Extra Menu No. 48: Alfa Romeo Legends（Collector Level 70)

Extra Menu No. 49: Legendary Road Racers（Collector Level 66 and above)

Extra Menu No. 50: Audi TT（Collector Level 52 and above)

Extra Menu No. 51: Mazda（Collector Level 57 and above)

This is all in addition to Weekly Challenges, which include limited-time online events; the Data Logger for checking their racing lines, speed, brake inputs, and more in real-time during Time Trial, Licenses and Circuit Experience; and Dunlop Tires.

As for the paid Power Pack, which goes live on the same day, it will retail for $29.99. Considering it includes five million Credits worth more than $40, you can truly keep the change. Polyphony also confirmed that you can purchase “six unique cars specifically tuned by Gran Turismo” by collecting Stars from DLC races.

Dropping on December 4th alongside the Spec 3 Update, the Power Pack includes a whopping five million Credits with everything else.

During the latest, admittedly underwhelming State of Play Japan, Polyphony Digital confirmed that Gran Turismo 7’s Spec 3 Update would release on December 4th. Considering it’s the largest update yet for the racing sim, which turns four next year, that’s great news. However, series producer Kazunori Yamauchi also announced the paid Power Pack.

It’s out on the same day as Spec 3 and offers 24-hour endurance racing for those who want the feeling of Le Mans without leaving their home (or watching Ford vs Ferrari). A new PlayStation Blog post reveals that there’s much more included, namely 50 brand new races in 20 “themed categories inspired by global automotive and motorsport traditions.”

Furthermore, you can partake in full race weekends with practice rounds and qualifiers and take advantage of Gran Turismo Sophy 3.0, Polyphony’s racing AI. The latter’s 2.0 version has been free for base game owners, but they’ll need to pony up for the upgrade.

Finally, and strangely enough, you get 5,000,000 Credits, which equate to more than $40 (though you can earn them in-game for free). Sony has yet to confirm pricing for the Power Pack, but at this point, $40 to $50 looks likely. As always, stay tuned for updates.

Keen on some hardcore racing events? Polyphony Digital's Power Pack is the ticket, launching alongside the game's biggest update yet.

December belongs to a good number of titles, but it also marks the biggest update yet for Gran Turismo 7 with Spec 3. However, series producer Kazunori Yamauchi appeared during the latest State of Play to reveal something completely new: the Power Pack.

Launching alongside the Spec 3 update, which is out on December 4th, the Power Pack is all about real racing. That means you can partake in 24-hour races and other activities geared towards the hardcore crowd. Further details have yet to be revealed, but it appears quite ambitious at first glance.

Gran Turismo 7 is available for PS4 and PS5, and the series has sold a whopping 100 million units as of June 25th. Polyphony Digital didn’t quite break down how much the latest title contributed to that, but it’s still going strong.
Set to inspire Chevrolet's design language for "years to come," it packs two electric motors, twin V8 engines, and a carbon fiber build.

The next Vision Gran Turismo Concept for Gran Turismo 7 has been revealed, and it comes from Chevrolet. The Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept is touted to inspire the brand’s “design language for years to come.” Check it out below.

Carbon fiber ensures a lighter weight for the vehicle, alongside a lower height for the sake of more downforce and grip. It features two electric motors and twin V8 engines with a focus on endurance racing. Even the cockpit is designed for that purpose, with head and neck support for maximum comfort when dealing with horizontal G’s while cornering.

Unfortunately, there’s no information on when it will arrive in Gran Turismo 7. Update 1.61 was released on July 23rd and added three new cars, GT Sophy enhancements, and much more. Perhaps we can expect the next slate of cars in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for details.

Gran Turismo 7 is available for PS5 and PS4. Check out our retrospective outlining the past several years of updates and additions.

Along with listing all Gran Turismo 7 cars, the site also provides technical details and photos of cars and their interiors.

Polyphony Digital, the studio behind PS5-exclusive racing sim Gran Turismo 7, has launched a new website. It offers a complete catalogue of all the cars currently available in the game as of July 2025. The site proudly points out that its database features 539 different cars.

Along with a listing of the cars, quite a few more details are offered on the website, including technical details like the car’s displacement, length, height, drivetrain, maximum torque, aspiration type, and even the maximum power measured in brake horsepower and RPM. Along with this, each listing is accompanied by a few photos showcasing the car, as well as a paragraph offering a brief description and history of the vehicle in question.

The website offers a few ways to navigate; users can list the available cars in more standard ways, like by manufacturer or by country region, along with a few more notable ways, like by drivetrain, by power, and by weight. For example, some of the heaviest vehicles in Gran Turismo 7, according to this website, are the Himedic ‘21 (2860 kg), the F-150 SVT Raptor ‘11 (2,724 kg), and the Tundra TRD Pro ‘19 (2,555 kg). In contrast, the lightest cars in the game are the Racing Kart 125 Shifter (105 kg), the 2&4 powered by RC213V (405 kg), and the Chaparral 2X VGT (450 kg).

Along with this, there are also uncategorised cars listed on the website, including cars based on concept, like the NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 VGT, and prototypes like the AFEELA Prototype 2024.

Keeping up with the continuous updates that Gran Turismo 7 has gotten over the years since launching in March 2022, cars like the ‘05 NISMO R34 GT-R Z-Tune and the Qashqai Tekna 190 2wd e-Power are also viewable on the website. These cars, for the sake of context, were released in a free update towards the end of July.

While the catalogue of cars has been expanding quite a bit since its release, updates have also brought on other kinds of improvements. For instance, one update from July 2024 added improvements to the game’s physics simulation model, affecting how the title handles tire physics and suspension physics. As a result, driving felt more “natural” thanks to more realistic weight shifting when turning around a tight corner.

Gran Turismo 7 is available on PS4 and PS5. Rumours had been going around of the racing sim eventually making its way to PC, staying in line with Sony’s usual process of releasing its first-party games on PC a year or so after the game’s original console release. As of February this year, however, new rumours have indicated that this PC port has quietly been shelved. Unfortunately, no reasons have been revealed for this decision.

For more details about Gran Turismo 7, check out our review from back when it first came out. Also check out our thoughts about whether or not it is still a must-play racer in 2025.
