Tom Clancy’s The Division will be receiving a closed beta next week for current gen platforms and it’s no slouch in terms of size. According to reports, it could average slightly higher than 26 GB on the PC alone.

Thankfully, it seems that players will have the option to pre-load the beta 48 hours before launch. This is according to the game’s French page on Facebook.

The beta will begin on January 28th for Xbox One players and January 29th for PC and PS4 players. It will run up till January 31st. This gives Xbox One players a 24 hour head-start ahead of the crowd. If you’re not interested in pre-ordering, you can still sign up for beta access here.

Tom Clancy’s The Division will be out on March 8th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on it at this time? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information in the coming week.

CD Projekt RED has announced that pre-load options are currently live for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which means consumers can purchase the open world RPG and download the files for when the game goes live close to its release date.

The developer recently spoke to GameSpot and confirmed the unlock times for digital copies. They’ll go live at 1 AM CET on May 19th, with United States players receiving it at 4 PM PST/7 PM EST on May 18th. If you live in the US and purchase the game online, you can pick up the game one day early.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the most anticipated games of the year, following Geralt as he pursues his love Yennifer and attempts to take down the vicious Wild Hunt. Along the way, you’ll get drunk, fight monsters and other fun activities in the Northern Realms.

Will you be picking up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? Let us know in the comments.

Visceral Games’ Battlefield: Hardline is only one day away from release and to prepare for it, EA has announced that the first person shooter is available for pre-load (on PC that is).

If you have an Origin account and pre-ordered the game, then simply head to your Library, click on the icon and wait for the download to finish. You’ll then be able to play it at midnight when the game goes live for release.

EA Access members on the other hand can play the game right now on the Xbox One. There are some limitations though – you won’t be able to play past the first two missions in the single-player campaign – but the multiplayer will be completely open in terms of modes, maps and progression.

Battlefield: Hardline is available on March 17th in North America and March 20th in the UK for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for more information once the game launches.

Download the game and play it as soon as it releases worldwide tomorrow.

PS4 owners who purchased The Order: 1886 on PlayStation Network can now begin pre-loading the game prior to its global launch tomorrow. You’ll have to download 6.44 GB initially of the game’s total 31 GB file size but the rest of it will download in the background afterwards.

It should also be noted that The Order: 1886 has a day one patch that weighs in at a surprising 30 MB. Say what you will about the game’s perceived short length but if Ready At Dawn has optimized it to the point of requiring such a small patch, that in itself is noteworthy. Then again, it doesn’t exactly have multiplayer or open world aspects that need to be further refined.

The Order: 1886 releases on February 20th and is exclusive to PlayStation 4. It takes place in an alternate history London occupied by lichen-like Half Breeds and descendants of King Arthur’s Knights of the Round using steampunk technology to eliminate them.

Visceral Games recently announced the open beta dates for Battlefield: Hardline, starting on February 3rd and ending on February 8th. To further prep fans for the beta, EA has revealed a FAQ containing details on pre-loading the game.

The beta’s size will range from 10 to 11 GB on PS4, Xbox One and PC while the PS3 and Xbox 360 beta will be roughly 4 GB. You’ll be able to pre-load the beta on February 2nd, 10 AM PST with the PC pre-load available solely through Origin. Whether this will extend to the consoles as well remains to be seen.

Battlefield: Hardline’s beta will have several different maps across four different modes when it goes live next week, from the quick chase of Hotwire to 64-player Conquest and a new mode called Hacker. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more information in the coming week.

Current gen owners can download the game and be ready when it goes live on January 20th.

Capcom’s HD remaster of Resident Evil is out this month and erstwhile PS4 and Xbox One users can pre-load the game now. This will help avoid any long wait times in downloading when it finally goes live. The total install size of the game is 14.2 GB.

For those purchasing on the PS4 or PS3, you’ll have cross-buy support. This allows you to experience the game on both consoles while only having to buy it on one. This is only for the PS3 and PS4 however.

Resident Evil HD is actually a port of the GameCube remake from 2002 which completely reworks the graphics of the 1996 classic into something way more frightening. Capcom has provided another layer of polish to the proceedings by having a 1080p resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 5.1 Surround Sound support and new updated control schemes.

Releasing on January 20th, Resident Evil HD will be out on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Pre-order the game on PS3/PS4 to play it at the stroke of midnight on launch.

Remember when it was announced that pre-loading of PS4 games would begin when Bungie’s Destiny debuted later this year? It seems there will be other games taking advantage of this feature including Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

The developer recently opened pre-orders for the PS3 and PS4 versions along with stating that those who pick up the PS4 version will be able to pre-load it in time for the shooter’s release on November 4th at midnight, PST. The game retails for $59.99 and the good news is, you can pre-load it on the PS3 as well.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be out on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 4th. It will take place in the future and center around Private Military Corporations, particularly the Atlas Corporation run by Jonathan Irons (who has the voice and likeness of Kevin Spacey). Looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments.

Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts has been available for pre-load on the PlayStation 3 since yesterday and you’ll be able to purchase and download the game via the PlayStation Store to keep it ready before the game goes live at 12:01 AM PST, November 5th. Ghosts is available at $59.99 for the Standard version and at $119.99 for the Digital Hardened Edition.

Those going with the pre-loading decision will need a good amount of space for the game, which is 10.9 GB. Of course, that will expand significantly when the installation begins so keep roughly 22 GB of HDD space free.

Keep in mind that those who pre-order the game will receive the bonus map “Free Fall” for, well, free. You can check out footage from the map here to get a better idea of what the map offers. Here’s a hint: Collapsing skyscraper, dynamic environments and lots of chaos.

Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on November 5th for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U. It will also launch on November 15th in North America and November 29th on PlayStation 4. The Xbox One version launches on November 22nd.
