Initially revealed several weeks ago, Techland has now confirmed the “Be The Zombie” mode in Dying Light. It will be available as a pre-order bonus on PC but it’s rather different from what we envisioned.

Be The Zombie mode sees you taking control of a Night Hunter but you won’t be in a brand new campaign mission. You’ll actually be invading other people’s games via multiplayer. This will work on Steam and we can imagine that it will work something like Watch Dogs’ invasion missions. The pre-order bonus will also include the Punk Queen, a crowbar capable of doling out high amounts of damage.

Dying Light will release on January 27th 2015 in North America and on January 30th 2015 worldwide for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. What are your thoughts on the pre-order bonuses? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.

They also included Cloud’s famous sword spinning animation for Lightning when you win battles, along with the familiar victory tune from the classic Final Fantasy games. Is Square Enix trying too hard to get you to like the game? Probably.

Of course, the pre-order offer is for a limited time only. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be out on February 11th in North America and will retail for $59.99, and as far as we know, this pre-order bonus is for the PlayStation 3 version. FOr example, those who pre-order the “Ultimate Edition” from Amazon UK will net 24 Ultimate Team gold packs, one per week, with each gold pack featuring a mix of 12 items. This includes players, contracts, healing, badges and more, along with a rare item that could mean a valuable player or longer contracts.

The “Ultimate Edition” will also feature access to historic kits, Virtual Pro Boosters and an All-Star Team sponsored by Adidas with Barcelona and Argentina star – and cover man – Lionel Messi.

Then there’s the “Limited Edition” available at GAME, which features the same perks as the Ultimate Edition but with 2 additional rare items with the gold packs. The “Limited Edition” will be available to pre-order until August 1st, midnight.

Finally, GAME has the “Collector’s Edition” which features all of the above content along with a special edition Adidas EA Sports glider football and will be available till September 26th midnight.

Those who pre-order on Amazon will net the Hidden Mystery Pack that features Mystery Island as a new area, the Gentleman Pirate’s ship for additional side quests and an additional outfit.

Then there’s the Lost Treasure Pack for those who pre-order from Best Buy, which features an Ivory Wheel, Spyglass Relic, custom ships for multiplayer and much more. It’s also the only pack available for PS4 and Wii U, along with the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Finally, those who pre-order from GameStop can avail of the Black Island ship and gun, along with a costume skin and a limited edition poster.

As of now, there are still pre-order bonuses to be determined for Uplay and other retailers. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is meanwhile slated to release on October 29 for current gen consoles, while the PS4 version will see release in Q4 2013.

Microsoft has detailed the pre-order incentives for November’s HD remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, now called Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. An official art booklet will be shipped with the game to all those who pre-order it from GAME or Gamestation stores… wow, thanks, MS.

The art collection will be based on the art book “Halo: The Art of Building Worlds”.

Microsoft explains: “This 24 page, 170 x 135mm booklet contains a collection of ground-breaking art from the history of the Halo games including concept art, sweeping landscapes from the Halo universe, and of course the evolution of the Master Chief.”
