Rare weapons can be acquired by redeeming your pre-order for dockets.

If you pre-ordered Techland’s Dying Light before its release this January, then you’ll be to avail of some rare weapons to be used in-game.

All you have to do is register your pre-order here and you’ll be able to redeem these dockets for different weapons. In the game, you’ll be able to speak to the quartermaster in-game and pick up your weapons after which they can be equipped whenever. For those worried that this is only for current pre-orders, you’ll be able to pre-order the game now and still avail of the weapons.

Dying Light will be releasing on January 27th 2015 in North America and January 30th in Europe for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will follow the tale of Kyle Crane as he infiltrates the quarantined city of Harran where civilization has more or less crumbled and the undead walk the streets. What are your thoughts on the pre-order offer? Let us know in the comments.

A custom exoskeleton and laser weapon can be yours if you pre-order the game.

Sledgehammer Games and Activision confirmed that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare would be receiving bonus pre-order content with the Advanced Arsenal. Check out the trailer above to learn more about these features.

Essentially, you’ll receive the Bullet-Brass exoskeleton, which is touted as a custom exoskeleton for your soldier and a Bullet-Brass EM1 Quantum, a directed energy weapon that could be similar to the concentrated laser we saw in the Advanced Warfare gameplay reveal.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare received its first in-game footage at Microsoft’s E3 presser where we saw several of the new weapons and mechanics for the first time. Drones return and are more plentiful than ever along with homing grenades, 3D printer guns and the ever ubiquitous walking tank.

In development for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare releases on November 4th worldwide. As before, Xbox users will receive new DLC before other platforms.

Bungie’s online shooter Destiny will be entering the beta stage in July and the developer has already confirmed that PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 users will be able to jump in first. Pre-orders for the game have already opened up on the Sony Entertainment Network store and confirm that you’ll receive access to the beta if you pre-order your copy.

Destiny takes place in a far-flung future where there is only one remaining city providing sanctuary for humans. The player will take on the role of a Guardian who must eventually save the entire universe in a Holy Grail-style adventure.
EA Sports UFC will be out on June 17th for Xbox One and PS4, according to a recently revealed retail display for the game. However, even more interestingly, the display showed legendary fighter Bruce Lee as a pre-order bonus.

It seems that Lee will actually be a playable character in the game, as EA has released new screenshots for the same

Art director Ian Lloyd stated that, “This does not just look like Bruce Lee. It is Bruce Lee. The way he carries himself, his fighting stance, his rippling physique, devastating speed, signature strikes and accompanying yells, whoops and shrieks.

“We have summoned this pinnacle of human strength, speed and spirit into our world and it has truly been an honor and a career highlight for us to do so.”

Regardless, business has undoubtedly picked up for EA Sports UFC. Will you be picking the game up when it releases this June? Let us know in the comments.

Has Doom 4 finally escaped development hell?

Machinegames has finally announced a release date for Wolfenstein: The New Order. More importantly, it’s confirmed that Doom 4 is still very much alive.

If you pre-order the new Wolfenstein, you’ll receive access to the DOOM beta. While it hasn’t been explicitly called “Doom 4”, studio director Tim Willits did say that the next Doom game may not even bear that title. Regardless, the beta can’t possibly be for anything else but multiplayer. Is it for all current platforms? Too many questions and not enough answers but hopefully id Software can shine some light on the same soon.

Wolfenstein: The New Order will be releasing on May 20th in North America and May 23rd in Europe for Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will take place in an alternate history timeline wherein the Third Reich won World War II and now control the world. You’ll return as B.J. Blazkowicz and wage a one-man war to topple the regime. Stay tuned for more details and clarification on what DOOM is or has the potential of being in the coming weeks.

Titanfall beta keys going for £3,500 on eBay.

The Titanfall beta is currently up and running for PC and Xbox One, and Respawn Entertainment took a random approach to deciding who gets in rather than by first-come, first-serve. Nonetheless, it seems that if you pre-order Titanfall for Xbox One at GAME UK, you’ll pick up a code for the console’s beta.

This was discovered after some one pre-ordered the game and immediately received a beta code for doing so. GAME UK didn’t announce the offer but latter confirmed to OXM that it was real. Quantities are going fast though, so act now if you want a chance to get in.

If that weren’t enough, people are currently selling off their beta keys for Titanfall for as high as £3,500 on eBay. Check out the image below if you don’t believe us.

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster may not have set sales charts on fire in Japan – for both the PS Vita and PS3 (but then again, the much more heavily hyped Lightning Returns: FFXIII also under-performed) – but Square Enix is still pushing ahead. The company has released a new Valentine’s Day-themed trailer which showcases Tidus and Yuna during the various stages of their pairing. Check it out below.

If you pre-order the game for the PS Vita, you can pick up three limited edition art cards. That’s an incentive if we’ve heard of one.

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster will also be available for the PlayStation 3 and contains HD remakes for two of the better Final Fantasy games in history (yes, even FFX-2). It will release on March 18th in North America and March 20th in Europe. Stay tuned for more updates on the game in the coming weeks.

Those who pre-ordered from select retailers will gain access.

A report on French site Xboxygen (via NeoGAF) has revealed that those who pre-ordered Respawn Entertainment’s TitanFall will be able to take place in a beta scheduled for February 14th to 19th. As of now, participating retailers in this include Micromania in France and GameStop in the US. Check out the image below (courtesy of Xboxygen) if you’re skeptical.

Consumers got their first taste of TitanFall when Respawn and EA allowed Xbox One players to play the alpha online. Since then several details have been revealed including the current state of the AI bots, the combat and how it plays out between humans and Titans alike, etc.

While the alpha was limited to the Xbox One version, it hasn’t been confirmed if the upcoming beta will be for Xbox 360, PC and Xbox One. TitanFall is currently scheduled to release on March 11th in North America and March 14th in Europe.

Priced at Rs. 55,000.

The PlayStation 4 will be available in India on January 6th for Rs. 39,990 and will be the first next-gen console to launch in India. However, if a retail listing on Snapdeal is anything to go by, it won’t be the last.

Though it was confirmed that the Xbox One wouldn’t launch in India until 2014 end, online retailer Snapdeal has it available for pre-order at Rs. 55,000. It has a release date of March 2014.

It’s not as though this is any kind of confirmation as to the console’s release. However, it’s certainly intriguing that the listing should appear so close to the release of the PlayStation in India. Maybe Snapdeal accidentally leaked information it shouldn’t have?

Regardless, take this as a rumour for now and up until Microsoft India confirms. Stay tuned for more information till then and let us know in the comments what you think of this latest development. Excited or skeptical? Tell us below.
