Developer Shift Up has revealed Stellar Blade in full, showcasing its post-apocalyptic world, impressive visuals, intense combat, and more.

Korean developer Shift Up made quite the splash last year when it debuted its action title, Project Eve. We hadn’t heard much from the team since then, but the game recently re-emerged in Sony’s latest State of Play presentation- and it did so with a bang.

Now re-revealed with an official name, Stellar Blade will star Eve as protagonist and take players to an Earth that’s teetering on the edge of complete extinction. Eve will meet survivors in the last city on Earth, Xion, and whether or not she helps its citizens (or how she helps them) will be up to the players.

The trailer also offers a solid look at the game’s combat, which is looking like it’s going to be a frantic, fast-paced, intense affair with monstrous enemies, and plenty of fast attacks, parries, and more. There are also a few glimpses of some of the bosses you will take on in there. Check out the trailer below.

Stellar Blade has been confirmed as a PS5 console exclusive, which presumably means it will also be available for PC. The game is set to launch sometime in 2023.

After a much talked about showing of the game at the latest PlayStation Showcase, Shift Up staff got a nice surprise.

We recently got a PlayStation Showcase video not long ago featuring a lot of different games. There were a lot of exciting titles that are upcoming that got a spotlight, such as Gran Turismo 7 and God of War: Ragnarok. But there were some surprises there, namely a little project dubbed Project Eve. The game’s trailer, which you can see through here, showed some slick action, drawing comparisons to the likes of Bayonetta and Nier: Automata. It was an unexpected trailer that got many abuzz, and it seems those within the studio got a nice surprise as well.

As noted by analyst Daniel Ahmad on Twitter, the CEO of developer Shift Up, Hyung-Tae Kim, celebrated the reveal of the game by giving his staff PS5s to be able to play the game on console when it releases. In total, that’s 260 units.

Despite being dubbed the “First Trailer,” Project Eve was actually revealed back in 2019 with a few screenshots and a trailer showcasing a boss fight (you can still see some of that original material on the developer’s website through here). However, this has been the game’s reemergence and little is known about its current state and how much of that original content and concept remain. Originally, it was announced as coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, but since it’s re-reveal has only been confirmed to be coming to PlayStation 5 and PC.

A reveal trailer for Project EVE showcases a desolate world brimming with enemies to fight and platforming obstacles to scale.

A new trailer for Project EVE has been released at this year’s PlayStation Showcase. This trailer details the world in which the game takes place, as well as a plethora of combat sequences. Check out the trailer below more information on the matter.

Project Eve will see players fighting and platforming across a multitude of levels – all while uncovering a deeper narrative. The combat looks flashy and fast paced, along with a healthy supply of boss fights. The visuals and art are also equally competent, and the game looks great overall.

Of course, there’s little to no details on when the game will be releasing. Given how much of the game’s systems have been fleshed out, it wouldn’t be a surprise if we get a release date in Sony’s next couple of showcases. Either way, Project Eve looks fascinating and fans should definitely keep an eye out for the game.
