Sony's handheld gets some much needed re-invigoration.

Sony has announced that its game streaming service PlayStation Now will be available on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV starting on August 4th. The overall list of supported devices will continue to be expanded for Sony’s 2015 TV models.

PlayStation Now allows subscribers to pay $20 per month and experience PS3 titles on their platform through cloud streaming. There are currently more than 125 games available in the PS Now library with recent additions including Dynasty Warriors 8, MX vs. ATV Supercross, Bomberman Ultra, and The Last Guy.

Keep in mind that some games come under the subscription model (that’s the $20 per month tag) while others require you to rent them out separately (this includes games like Final Fantasy XIII-2, Hitman: Contracts HD, Mass Effect 2 and so on).

What are your thoughts on PS Now being available on the Vita and PS TV though? Let us know your thoughts below and stay tuned for more information.

Now's the time to get on board with PS TV.

PlayStation TV is undoubtedly a very niche product. The appeal is, of course, somewhat broad in concept, offering gamers the opportunity to run any Vita game (that doesn’t make use of the touchpad) as well as any game from the massive PSone Classics library.

As appealing as that is, the initial price point was not. This seen a number of retailers sell the device below the recommended retail price. Now, following an official price cut for the little black box, Sony have dropped it’s retail price to a mere £44.99. Speaking about this, a Sony spokesperson has said “Starting from the 27th March, PS TV will offer even greater value for money when it becomes available for only £44.99”.

That actually is fantastic value, and if you’re a PlayStation Plus user, and why would you not, then there’s even more reason to get your hands on one of these little beauties. The chances are good that you could pick up a second hand PS TV even cheaper than the £45 mark, but that’s for you to decide.

With the Vita library already having some real hits, the added PSone Classics library and PS4 Remote Play functionality make this too good to miss out on.

The Dark Knight Rises Beyond Gotham.

The Lego games are all great, no doubt, but the crown jewel in that series is undoubtedly the Lego Batman games. Lego Batman 2, when it originally released, was an amazing game that brought together the entire Justice League to Gotham long before there was any indication of it happening in the movies or on TV, and this year’s sequel to that, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, looks like it ramps up all of that madness to 11.

“LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is without a doubt this year’s ultimate Super Hero game for all ages,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games Publishing. “From free-roam gameplay, to flying LEGO big figures and exploring Lantern Worlds with DC Comics’ most amazing characters, the fun and possibilities in LEGO Batman 3 are endless.”

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita (including PlayStation TV), Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and PC.
