The second character in the fighting game's Year 4 Pass also got a brand-new trailer showcasing his offensive and defensive capabilities.

Capcom has announced that its second roster addition as part of Street Fighter 6’s Year 4 pass, Arjun, will be coming to the fighting game on October 13th. Alongside this, the company has also released a new trailer showcasing some of Arjun’s gameplay. Check it out below.

Interestingly, being one of the few Indian-origin characters in Street Fighter, the gameplay demonstration for Arjun takes place against the franchise’s other iconic Indian character, Dhalsim. The trailer showcases how Arjun is able to counter many of Dhalsim’s zoning capabilities with his own arsenal of moves that combine strike-based combos with his sheer strength and resilience.

Arjun has several moves in his arsenal, including winding punches, lunging shoulder attacks, and even the ability to create a ring of air that can then be used for follow-up moves like Breathing Shockwave that sends the ring forward as a projectile at a variety of angles. Like most characters, he is equipped with three Super Arts. At level 1, he can mow down his opponents with quick bursts of his breathing technique. His level 2 Super Art, dubbed Instant Oblivion, sends his target flying into the air and far away from him, where a Divine Pillar waits to break their landing. And finally, his level 3 Super Art is Yaksha’s Order, which disrupts his opponent’s inner ear before Arjun pulls off a cinematic attack.

The character will have two outfits available at launch; outfit 1 will be his default one, showcasing his state as a fugitive who is being hunted down for a crime he didn’t commit. The second outfit, on the other hand, will be an idealized version of Arjun that has put his quest for justice behind him.

Arjun’s arrival next month will be a follow-up to the previous character added to the fighting game – Yasmine. She was added to the roster back in August, and her arrival was marked with the release of a trailer showcasing her impressive moveset that focuses on rushing down her opponents with overwhelming speed and deft use of her karambit knife, dubbed Alon.

Arjun will be followed up with two more characters joining the Street Fighter 6 roster – Tifa Lockhart of Final Fantasy 7 fame and Bosch. Capcom hasn’t yet announced exact release dates for these characters, aside from noting that they will arrive in Early and Spring 2027, respectively.

While not too many details about either character have been revealed yet, Capcom has confirmed that Bosch’s story will revolve around training under Luke to incorporate modern techniques into his ancient martial arts style. Tifa, on the other hand, will make use of her Zangan-ryu martial arts style that we last saw in Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth.

Capcom had announced back in June that Street Fighter 6 had hit an impressive milestone, managing to sell more than 7 million copies across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The title was originally released back in 2023 and, since then, has seen continuous post-launch support with frequent balance updates as well as roster additions through its various season passes.

The project is believed to be a remake or remaster of one of the older entries, with the likely candidate being the 2004 original.

While the Killzone franchise has been dormant since the launch window of the PS4 in 2013, which saw the release of Killzone: Shadow Fall, a new report by MP1st indicates that Sony has greenlit a new entry in the shooter franchise. While few details about the new project have been revealed, Guerrilla Games is once more reportedly working on the franchise, and it is in very early stages of development.

Guerrilla Games isn’t working on a new Killzone by itself, however. The report notes that an external team is working alongside the studio on the project, which is believed to be a remake or remaster of one of the older Killzone games. While it is unknown which one of the games will be getting revisited, logic would indicate that the original 2004 release – simply titled Killzone – is going to be the subject.

The new Killzone was slated to be worked on after Guerrilla Games had wrapped up development on Horizon Hunters Gathering. However, reports have indicated that negative internal feedback has led to development on the live-service project being rebooted. While some of the team works on retooling it to address feedback, the rest of the studio has seemingly already started working on Killzone.

As for which team is working on the project alongside Guerrilla, People Can Fly is one of the candidates. The Polish studio had announced back in March 2025 that it was working alongside Sony on a new game based on the PlayStation IP, codenamed Project Delta. People Can Fly’s track record with shooters like Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment would make the studio an easy guess for working on Killzone.

Following the remake remaster, Guerrilla Games will reportedly start working on a brand-new mainline entry in the Horizon franchise. However, the fact that the Killzone project is seemingly still quite early in its development cycle, these plans could change.

The original Killzone was released on PS2, and leading up to its release, was considered by many to be Sony’s attempt at a “Halo-killer”. Set in a universe where the Helghast Empire has launched an attack against the Interplanetary Strategic Alliance (ISA) following the former’s defeat during the First Helghan War, players take on the role of one of four characters across various missions. Much of the story revolves around the protagonists – Jan Templar, Shadow Marshall Luger, Rico Velasquez, or Gregor Hakha – trying to stop Helghast’s forces from conquering Vekta.

The title was followed up in 2009 with Killzone 2 on PS3, which picked up the story a couple of years after where it left off. With the Helghast invasion having been thwarted, the ISA launches a counter assault on planet Helghan to cripple the Helghast Empire. The third entry, 2011’s Killzone 3, picks up right after its predecessor and revolves around the survivors of the ISA invasion trying to escape from Helghan.

Killzone: Shadow Fall takes place 30 years after the trilogy. Taking place on planet Vekta, where the Helghast have been given asylum following the destruction of their planet, the title revolves around Shadow Marshall Lucas Kellan, who is trying to keep the peace between the Vektans and Helghast.

Koei Tecmo announced the milestone through a social media post where it also hyped up the upcoming Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember.

Koei Tecmo has announced that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has hit a brand-new milestone in terms of the number of players. Taking to social media, the company has announced that the title has been played by more than 8 million players worldwide. This milestone comes shortly after the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 release.

“Following the launch of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, our worldwide player count has surpassed eight million! Thank you for your continued support of the Wo Long series, and we hope you look forward to Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember in early 2027.”

The last major milestone hit by Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was back in March 2024, when the company announced that it had been played by more than 5 million players worldwide across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It is worth noting that the title is also available through a Game Pass subscription, which likely played a major role in growing its audience.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was released back in March 2023 and served as an evolution of many of the gameplay systems and mechanics that developer Team Ninja had worked on with games like Nioh. It also featured entirely new mechanics as well, like Morale, which determines how challenging combat encounters can be. It set itself apart from the studio’s other games by focusing more heavily on parrying mechanics.

In our review from back when the game first came out, we gave Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty a score of 7 out of 10 thanks to its flashy deflection system, Morale mechanic, and excellent enemy design. However, we criticized the game’s overreliance on parrying and deflecting attacks, and its poor companion AI.

In the meantime, Team Ninja has already begun working on the next game in the franchise. Dubbed Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the title is slated for release in early 2027 and will come to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The sequel was unveiled back in June with a trailer that gave us our first look at its visual style.

While not too many details about Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember have been revealed yet, the trailer has indicated that it will revolve around a protagonist who is trying to end a vicious cycle of conflict where everyone is vying for an elixir that can grant immortality.

More recently, the studio has confirmed that the Morale system will be getting revamped, and that Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will also focus more on exploration thanks to its “open field” world design, which contrasts quite sharply with the more linear structure of its predecessor. Producer Masakazu Hirayama had spoken about how the studio wants to avoid the monotony that can often set in when playing games with gigantic open worlds.

“Regarding the monotony of open-world exploration, this time it basically depicts an entire battlefield. Changes on the battlefield will affect the outcome of the battle, causing changes in other parts of the scene as well. I think this will alleviate the monotony to some extent.”

The studio has also spoken about new additions to the combat system.

Neil Druckmann has said that the studio takes its stewardship of The Last of Us quite seriously, and it has more plans for the future.

While HBO continues to work on its live-action adaptation of The Last of Us, Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann has revealed that the studio isn’t part of the production of the show’s third season. In an interview with The Washington Post, Druckmann was asked about how production has been progressing, and said that he can’t personally speak to any updates regarding the matter.

“I wasn’t involved in shaping this season’s creative direction, and Naughty Dog did not have a creative role in the direction of this season. So, I can’t personally speak to how production is progressing.”

Despite this, however, he also said that Naughty Dog is far from done with The Last of Us as a whole. While HBO might eventually wrap up its adaptation of the franchise, he noted that “we’re not done with The Last of Us. There’s a couple of projects in the works that, when the time is right, I’m very excited to talk about.” This comes down to the fact that “It’s important for us to note that as the creator of the games, Naughty Dog is still the steward of this IP”.

It is worth noting that the last major project based on The Last of Us at Naughty Dog was a live-service multiplayer game that ultimately got canceled. While not too many details about it were revealed, former team members who worked on the project, like its director, Vinit Agarwal, have spoken about how positive the feedback had been during playtests.

“It’s wild how many of my ex-colleagues still message me today saying how amazing TLOU Online was going to be — still the best multiplayer game they’ve ever played. Never going to let what I work on not see the light of day again. Thank you all for your support and confidence!”

When it was canceled, Naughty Dog confirmed that development on the multiplayer project had begun during the development of The Last of Us Part 2. Ultimately, the studio decided to scrap it due to the resources that would be required to support the game following its launch.

“The multiplayer team has been in pre-production with this game since we were working on The Last of Us Part 2 – crafting an experience we felt was unique and had tremendous potential,” Naughty Dog wrote. “As the multiplayer team iterated on their concept for The Last of Us Online during this time, their vision crystallized, the gameplay got more refined and satisfying, and we were enthusiastic about the direction in which we were headed.”

“In ramping up to full production, the massive scope of our ambition became clear. To release and support The Last of Us Online, we’d have to put all our studio resources behind supporting post-launch content for years to come, severely impacting development on future single-player games. So, we had two paths in front of us: become a solely live service games studio or continue to focus on single-player narrative games that have defined Naughty Dog’s heritage.”

In the meantime, The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered are available on PS5 and PC. Older versions of The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part 2 are available on PS4.

The Spec IV update will feature many new additions to the racing sims, including new tracks, cars, and a brand-new Family Mode.

Polyphony Digital has announced a major two-part update for Gran Turismo 7. Dubbed Spec IV, the update will follow up on the changes made to the racing sim with Spec III last year. Part one of the Spec IV update will come to Gran Turismo 7 in October, with the second part coming out in December. Check out the announcement trailer below.

A major addition to the list of tracks in Gran Turismo 7 with Spec IV will be Japan’s SUGO Circuit, which offers plenty of challenges thanks to its elevation changes. Long-time Gran Turismo fans will also be happy to see the arrival of the beloved Autumn Ring track with its original layout. An expanded version of Autumn Ring with a larger-scale racing circuit is also coming.

When it comes to cars, Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV will get 12 cars released across the two separate updates. More features will also be coming to the update, including Online Drift Trials and Shuffle races. Details about these, however, will be revealed at a later time.

Finally, the studio is also working on what it refers to as “one of the main highlights” of the Spec IV update – Family Mode. This new mode will feature family-friendly gameplay mechanics that allow even younger children to play and enjoy the racing sim. It will also include features that veterans of the franchise can enjoy.

More details about Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV will be revealed during the Gran Turismo World Series event on October 3rd. The studio has also hinted at bigger plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Gran Turismo franchise next year.

New ways to play along with new ways to enjoy the visuals are on the cards this time around, along with welcome refinements.

We’re now only a few weeks away from diving into this year’s version of EA Sports FC 27, a title that’s looking to switch things up quite a bit for the franchise’s tried-and-tested formula.

There are improvements to defending and playstyles, for starters, while the game’s different modes are also slated to receive new additions to an addictive, rewarding loop. Well, a new addition to that list comes via the game’s PC version, an area EA has paid special attention to this year, per its announcement.

Various resets should make it easy to take advantage of your hardware. There’s also an Ultra Enhanced graphical mode for those of you with truly high-end PCs that are already pushing the limits of visual fidelity. Improved keyboard and mouse support is also crucial, and should make things much easier to control this time around. Meanwhile, improvements to responsiveness, load times, and performance are welcome changes which seem to have emerged from all the feedback FC 26 received.

If you’ve been thinking about stepping onto the pitch with your PC, this is all probably good news ahead of the game’s global release on September 25th, though Ultimate Edition owners can start playing on September 18th.

The additional content is also being sold separately as the Tarnished Pack for existing players on other platforms.

Patch 1.17 accompanies the release and adds support for the DLC alongside balance changes and bug fixes. It also introduces new weapons and NPC invasion events in Caelid and Leyndell, Royal Capital. Head here for the full details, especially since this could be the last major balance patch that the title ever receives.

We reviewed Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 and came away impressed with how the final port turned out. After concerns about earlier builds, the finished version delivered a stable 30 FPS performance at 1080p in both docked and handheld play, with the compromises generally proving minor. We scored it nine out of ten, though we thought the $80 asking price was difficult to ignore.

Players will have new kinds of survival systems to deal with, like the risk of dehydration due to the Nasdara map's blazing sun.

Developer Bohemia Interactive has released a new trailer for its upcoming Badlands expansion for DayZ. Along with giving us a look at some of the new additions to the game arriving with the expansion, the studio has also confirmed that it is coming out on October 15th.

Owing to the desert setting of DayZ: Badlands, players will have to be careful about many new survival elements, like potential dehydration from being out in the sun for too long. Water is also a scarce commodity in the new map, and players will have to start figuring out how to get their hands on regional clothing that provides low insulation.

With hostile players being an ever-present threat, especially when it comes to locations where more valuable loot will be available, the personal radio is getting some enhancements as well. Along with being tools for long-distance communication, personal radios can also receive transmissions that, when decoded, reveal coordinates for new locations with valuable loot.

Decoding these transmissions will be a major task as well, and players will need to get their hands on all the tools they can find in order to do so. This might include things like local language ciphers and other decoding tools.

The trailer also gives us a look at the new rebuilding options in DayZ: Badlands, which allow players to find dilapidated structures and fortify them with brand-new materials. Details about this feature, as well as the desert environment of the Nasdara map, were revealed back in July.

DayZ: Badlands is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

The new expansion will once more take players to New York City, and will feature a darker atmosphere than players might be used to.

Ubisoft has announced some big plans for The Division 2, with the biggest one being the introduction of crossplay. While the company hasn’t given a solid release date for the feature, cross-platform multiplayer is slated to come to the cover-based looter shooter in November. In its statement, the company said that the development of this feature required quite a bit of work that involved a partial rebuild of its multiplayer infrastructure.

“Bringing Agents together across platforms has required significant work behind the scenes, including partially rebuilding the game’s online architecture. With crossplay, your platform will no longer stand between you and other Agents, opening up matchmaking and allowing more of the community to play together.”

When the update hits, all The Division 2 players will be migrated to the new crossplay environment, and the feature will be enabled by default. Players will, however, have the option to disable crossplay in the character selection screen. When it’s enabled, players will be able to run into Agents from all supported platforms, as long as they haven’t disabled it.

Clans will also be migrated to crossplay, and players from across various platforms will be able to join the same clan. Along with this, capacity for clans has been raised from 50 to 100 members. When the migration happens, leaderboards will be completely reset, and new leaderboards will be shown with the player’s crossplay status also being reflected.

Another major announcement is the next expansion for The Division 2. Dubbed Echoes of Central Park, the expansion will once more take players to New York City. In the days immediately following the outbreak, Central Park started being used as a mass burial ground. Since then, however, few have dared to go back to the park, and its current status remains unknown.

The story will kick off with players getting a distress call from somewhere inside the park. Along the way, players will also hear rumors from across the Upper West Side about the dangers inside the park.

The developers have said that Echoes of Central Park will lean into a darker atmosphere than The Division 2 typically has, and the new zone will be a place “where fear can be just as dangerous as any enemy.”

More details about Echoes of Central Park will be revealed at a special showcase slated for September 24th. The developers will also showcase some of the gameplay from the expansion, and will likely provide an in-depth look at the new zones being added to the game.

The most recent update for The Division 2 was dubbed Into the Dark, and as its name implies, content largely revolved around the game’s PvPvE areas, dubbed Dark Zones. The update introduced quite a few changes to these areas, like an invulnerability window for Agents who just enter, and better rewards in Landmarks.

Along with this, a new Toxic Dark Zone area was added to the game, allowing for up to 12 players to team up together. This new zone has no PvP or Rogue Agents, and revolves around co-operating to survive increasing amounts of toxicity in the hunt for better loot.

Ubisoft Massive also teased the return of the Black Tusk in Season 4, along with a rework to Prototype Gear and Escalation changes.

Season 2 is nearly ending in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, so what’s next? As it turns out, a Cleaner invasion. That’s right – the pyro-obsessed faction is officially coming to Washington, D.C., bringing their Purple Flame along for the ride in Season 3: Red Horizon.

Going live today, it brings new encounters out in the open world and “Burn-focused” gameplay. New Classified Assignments await alongside a new Season Pass, limited-time events, challenges, and more. Even the Dark Zone is getting new content with Blackout, a specific location where all caps on gear power have been turned off.

You can finally unleash your full capabilities against other players, and see who complains first that the other’s build should be nerfed. For the PvE-minded, Toxic Dark Zone is permanently in rotation. And for those who hated losing tokens in Escalations after getting disconnected, that’s finally been addressed.

Of course, Ubisoft Massive isn’t stopping there. In Season 4, the Black Tusk is seemingly returning and a mysterious “White Tusk” could debut. A Prototype Gear rework is also planned to provide more control and less RNG, affecting Expertise and Augments in the process. You can also expect more agency in Escalations alongside Mutators becoming “more consistent and predictable.”

Stay tuned for more details in the coming months. The Division 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
