It’s shaping up to be quite a busy month for higher-tier across the board, with some heavy hitters making their way to the service.

June’s looking pretty good if you’re subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. There’s something for everyone, and some of these titles range from entertaining to must-play. However, there’s a staggered schedule to consider this time around, with Sony looking to switch things up from the usual practice of just dropping all of the month’s games at once.

It kicks off with Sonic X Shadow Generations already available. It’s an excellent platformer which sees the titular hedgehog take on Black Doom in a trip through his own past, which we found quite enjoyable. Final Fantasy 16 is next on the list, and we’ve made our thoughts on that one pretty clear when it first came out – decide for yourself when it drops on June 16th. We’re also getting Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Life is Strange: Double Exposure on June 23 for the UK, US, and Japan regions on June 23.

Finally, Black Desert, Blades of Fire, and Farming Simulator 25 are rounding out the rest of the category’s additions, and they’re dropping on June 30. If you’re a Premium subscriber, you’ve also got the cult classic PS2 rhythm title Gitaroo Man to look forward to on June 16 with a global release on the service.

Get behind the wheel of iconic offerings like the Ferrari 499P and BMW M Hybrid V8, and compete in new World Circuit events.

After suddenly announcing it during the Gran Turismo World Series 2026, Polyphony Digital’s new hypercars for Gran Turismo 7 are set to arrive today at 11 PM PDT. A new trailer is available showcasing all four in action alongside the 911 Turbo S Safety Car – check it out below.

The hypercars in question include the Ferrari 499P 2023, the Peugeot 9X8 2025, the Porsche 963 2024, and the BMW M Hybrid V8. And to further add to the Le Mans celebration, there are five new World Circuit events, including the 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit.

If you’re curious which to take up first, the PlayStation Blog has a helpful five-question quiz. For example, those who favor “precision, rhythm and that ‘factory team’ feeling” should opt for the Ferrari 499P. If aggression and power are your main goal, then the BMW M Hybrid V8 is the right choice. And if you’re all about discipline, then the Safety Car is ready and waiting.

There are even several Drive Challenges to undertake to get to grips with each vehicle. In terms of content drops, it’s not the biggest that Gran Turismo 7 has ever seen, but Update 1.70 is certainly a long time coming for Le Mans fans. Stay tuned for more details on subsequent updates because it’s clear that Polyphony Digital is nowhere close to done with the post-launch support.

We’re always glad to revisit adventures that are as charming as this, and the new edition’s bringing some welcome upgrades to the table.

There’s something about anime-styled RPGs that makes us quite eager to play them, and Tales of Eternia is definitely among that niche’s finer offerings, especially when considering the series as a whole.

Well, it’s getting a remastered version from TOSE and Bandai Namco hitting shelves on October 15 in Japan, with a global release slated for the next day. If you’re unfamiliar with this one, it follows protagonists Reid and Farah as they navigate two complex realms to help their friend Meredy remember her murky origins. Of course, things take wild turns, and the trio finds themselves in the middle of a story they had no idea they were signing up for.

The remaster brings the popular Aggressive Linear Battle Motion system to the table, making combat more exciting than the original release, alongside destination markers and toggles to turn off enemy encounters for those looking for a more relaxed time. There’s also a high-speed mode for auto-battles, and options to switch the graphics and audio back to the classic style if nostalgia’s the main appeal.

A Digital Deluxe Edition is also on the table, bringing a digital art book, soundtrack, and a few DLC items to the game. The trailer’s below if you want to have a look at the game before picking it up on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and PS5.

It’s time to grab a few marshmallows because Dante, Nero, and Vergil are bringing the fire to the Nintendo Switch 2 this month.

In what seems like an auspicious time to bring a Devil May Cry game back into the spotlight to coincide with the Netflix show’s second season, Capcom has announced that Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition is coming to the Switch 2 on June 23 for its digital version, with a physical version coming on August 28. There’s a discount on the digital version if you pick up a copy before July 7, 2026, too.

This edition consolidates all of the game’s DLC, which means that you’re going to get to play as Nero, Dante, and V in the base game while also getting to be the storm that is approaching as Vergil, who makes incredible (and stylish) use of the Yamato and Force Edge. There are additional outfits and battle tracks to use as you tear through enemies, too, and this one’s definitely going to be a hoot to play as it brings a smooth 60 FPS to both its handheld and TV modes.

We loved this one back in the day, and a lot of you feel the same way, as it enjoyed some impressive sales numbers. There’s a trailer accompanying the announcement, and all we can say about this one is “Jackpot”.

The announcement of this new milestone came just a few days after Capcom unveiled its Year 4 DLC plans for Street Fighter 6.

Just as it wrapped up Street Fighter 6’s Year 3 DLC plan with the release of Ingrid, Capcom has announced that the fighting game has hit a brand-new milestone, having sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. The title is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and the sales were likely split quite well among all of the platforms.

“An achievement all thanks to you,” wrote Capcom on social media. “We’re eternally grateful that Street Fighter 6 has now sold over 7 million copies worldwide!”

Street Fighter 6 was originally released back in 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The fighting game eventually made its way to Nintendo Switch 2 last year, as one of the console’s launch-week games.

With Year 3 characters all having come out, Capcom has also revealed details about what Street Fighter 6 players can expect from future DLC releases. Through a trailer released over the weekend, the company has confirmed that the fighting game will get four new additions to its roster – Yasmine, Arjun, Bosch, and Final Fantasy 7’s Tifa Lockhart.

All four characters will be newcomers to the Street Fighter franchise. Aside from Tifa, all of the characters are original creations. Capcom has also revealed a few details about each of the fighters. Yasmine, for instance, is a high schooler from the Philippines who has decided to join Street Fighter 6’s antics as part of her quest to find her long-lost Kuya. The character makes use of a crescent-shaped karambit knife in her combat style.

Arjun is equipped with extraordinary lung capacity, along with yogic breathing, giving him the ability to engage with his opponents in fist fights with his unique Bare-knuckle Yoga techniques. Originally a police officer in India, Arjun was accused of killing a colleague, which has led him to live his life on the run while still trying to hunt down the true murderer.

Bosch, hailing from Nayshall, is on a quest to find the true meaning of strength. In the process, he has already become a proficient martial artist, winning a sacred tournament before the events of the game. He is now in Metro City to train under Luke so that he can incorporate modern combat techniques in his ancient martial arts style.

Much like in Final Fantasy 7, Tifa in Street Fighter 6 will make use of her Zangan-ryu martial arts. She ends up in the world of the fighting game after being mysteriously transported away from her own adventures. In the process, she has decided to bond with the brand-new fighters she is meeting in her new adventure. In gameplay terms, Tifa is going to be a close-range fighter and can make use of unique powers dubbed Abilities.

Year 4 characters will start coming out this year, with Summer marking the release of Yasmine. Arjun will follow in Autumn 2026, and after a break, Tifa is slated for release in early 2027. She will be followed by Bosch in Spring 2027. Along with these roster additions, the Year 4 Character Pass also includes four characters’ colors for their respective Outfit 1 options, along with 3,000 Drive Tickets.

Looking Glass's legendary stealth title returns with modern gamepad support, 4K/120 FPS, quality-of-life improvements and much more.

In what feels like a long overdue announcement, Nightdive Studios has announced Thief: The Dark Project Remastered, a remaster of Looking Glass Studios’ iconic stealth title. It’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Check out the first trailer below courtesy of the PC Gaming Show.

Launching this Winter – which at this point could be either December 2026 or early 2027 – we see Garrett in action once more, sniping fools from afar and slinking through environments. But thanks to the KEX Engine, you can expect 4K resolution and 120 FPS, with support for modern gamepads.

It even supports rumble and motion controls alongside gyro support. A new weapon wheel means easier access to Garrett’s tools. All of the content from the original game and Thief: Gold is included, and enemies have been improved in terms of animations and textures. Even the level design has received a few small fixes.

The fact that you can replay any previous mission and once again access custom campaigns thanks to built-in support at launch means that Thief: The Dark Project Remastered could be the best way to experience the classic. Stay tuned for further details on a release date in the meantime.

The Backstage is also available as the first expansion for the Secrets of the Spiral expansion pass for Little Nightmares 3.

Developer Supermassive Games has announced a new DLC for Little Nightmares 3. Taking the stage during Future Games Show: Summer Showcase 2026, the studio has released a brand-new trailer to give us our first look at this DLC, titled The Backstage. Check it out below.

Fans of Little Nightmares 3 will find plenty to enjoy in The Backstage, since it carries forward the franchise’s penchant for maintaining a creepy atmosphere throughout its runtime. Its story seemingly revolves around an entirely new character that will have to make clever use of various light sources to survive the horrors that are trying to hunt them down.

Among the major threats showcased in the trailer for The Backstage is a level where the player has to sneak through a giant-sized kitchen while a large woman is ominously cooking in the background. At one point, she spots the player, however, who then has to quickly escape after stunning the woman with a bright flash of light.

Owing to the entirely wordless nature of Little Nightmares 3, it is difficult to tell whether The Backstage will feature any story links to the base game or if it will be an entirely new story altogether.

Little Nightmares 3: The Backstage is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the Nintendo Switch 2 on 12th June. The DLC is also included in Little Nightmares 3: Secrets of the Spiral expansion pass. The DLC will be the first “Additional Chapter” that was promised as part of the pass, with a second “Additional Chapter” slated for release between October and December 2026.

It’s a bittersweet time, as the launch trailer for Destiny 2 has dropped ahead of the release of Moment of Triumph, the final update to a game that’s been around for so long and given us so many fond memories.

It hasn’t all been great, but we can safely say that this is a title that we’re all going to miss. The trailer seems to understand that, and there’s a hint of the sadness that sudden goodbyes often bring, underlining all the cool stuff coming on June 9th. Earth is on the mend, and the Guardians must look towards the future. There are still things to do, and new triumphs and rewards to uncover in the Pantheon, where you’re going to be taking on returning Raid Bosses with cool new Distortion abilities that look quite nasty to be on the receiving end of.

Sparrow Racing League is making its return, and you’re going to be racing against your fellow Guardians on some very cool-looking speeders. The future beckons, but whether that includes Destiny 3 is still uncertain. It might have made learning about the game’s last days a tad easier, and perhaps even helped lessen the shock of what might have been the best-kept secret at Bungie. Nevertheless, it’s nearly time to tip our collective hats to a looter shooter that has had a good run, all things considered.

The Tarnished Pack DLC, which adds new armor sets, weapons, and more, goes live on the same day for players on other platforms.

FromSoftware has announced that Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will finally launch on August 28th for Nintendo Switch 2. It was originally slated for last year but faced delays due to significant performance issues.

The Switch 2 edition brings new content in the form of armor sets, weapons and even options for customizing Torrent, the Spectral Steed. This will be available to other platforms with the Tarnished Pack DLC, which is also out on the same day. It’s not free, but Genki on Twitter notes that it’s only 550 Yen in Japan, which is about $3.44 in the United States.

It’s possible that FromSoftware and Bandai Namco price it for about $5 or the equivalent worldwide. Not the worst, overall – just don’t compare it to, say, The Forsaken Hollows for Elden Ring Nightreign, which costs $15 and adds a new map, Day Three bosses and playable Nightfarers alongside much more.

Regardless, those picking up Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2 are in for a treat, since it includes the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, both critically acclaimed. While the digital version’s price is unknown, you can pre-order the physical version from Amazon for $79.99 (though it’s a Game-Key card release).

Among the improvements in the current-gen builds are support for 60 FPS frame rates and higher resolution displays depending on the console.

As part of the patch notes for Fallout 76’s latest update, dubbed Infestation, Bethesda has confirmed that it is now testing out current-gen console versions of the title. So far, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 players have only been able to access the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game, respectively, through backwards compatibility. From this month onwards, anyone who owns a copy of the previous-gen version of Fallout 76 will be able to access Xbox Series X/S and PS5 and PS5 Pro versions of the title as well.

It is worth noting that it is going to be a test version, so players should be ready to expect bugs and other technical issues. Bethesda aims to wrap up testing and will release the full versions for current-gen consoles later this summer.

Among the improvements for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Fallout 76 are a frame rate of 60 FPS across all current-gen consoles, improved draw distances, improved shadows, 4K resolution on Xbox Series X, Xbox One X, and PS5 Pro, support for variable refresh rate displays on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, and support for 1440p displays on the base PS5 and PS4 Pro consoles. Versions for Xbox One and PS4 will continue to run at 1080p.

This announcement comes after Bethesda had first confirmed that PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Fallout 76 were in the works back in October 2025. At the time, the company had noted that it was aiming for a 2026 launch window for the current-gen versions.

In the meantime, it is still unknown whether or not the company is working on cross-platform multiplayer for Fallout 76. Back in February, creative director Jon Rush and production director Bill LaCoste had acknowledged that it was a much-requested feature, and that it was still on the table for future development. However, they noted that the studio was facing “technical hurdles” that date all the way back to when Fallout 76 first began development.

“We are looking into it, and we have plans to try to scope out what that work is going to entail for us,” said Rush in an interview. “It’s just not in the immediate plans for us. We know players want it.”

LaCoste went into more technical detail, noting that it was difficult to retrofit in new features like crossplay into the Creation Engine, which was used for the development of Fallout 76.

“It’s just huge technical hurdles that are things that you tackle before release, during your actual development of the product,” he explained. “So going back and retrofitting it to do that, when you have different places that players are pointing into, and now you’re having to worry about entitlements and account purchases and currency.”

“What we can promise players is that we will continue to investigate, we will continue to try to establish plans to make that a thing in the future, just not in the short term,” he continued.

In the meantime, you can check out the new content brought into Fallout 76 by the Infestation update, which gives players a new source of 4-Star Legendary items.
