Acttil has announced that their action role playing game Reborn has been Kickstarted for the PlayStation 4, PC and PlayStation 3.

The Kickstarter campaign has a been increased to $200,000, which was originally announced at $150,000. This extra funding will allow Reborn to be released digitally for both PS3 and PS4.

Reborn will have a playthrough time of 20 hours which is less compared to other r0le playing games but given that the initial funding amount is not really massive it should be okay. The game will be using the Unreal Engine.

The Kickstarter campaign has up to six stretched goals which promises support for a Xbox One version, better motion capture, P2P online with up to 4 players, new playable classes, dynamic environments, high resolution textures, Touchpad support, special moves, time trials, training modes, a physical release and much more.

In a team effort from development companies Acttil and Elemental-Labs, Reborn, an action RPG that will release across PS3 and PS4, was announced earlier today. The Kickstarter will be up shortly.

Elemental Labs CEO, Franz Tissera had this to say about Reborn:

“Reborn is built on the powerful Unreal Engine, and it aims to satisfy the action hero in all of us while recapturing the magic, imagination, depth, and nostalgia of the classic RPGs that we enjoyed growing up.”

Reborn will be a sci-fi themed action RPG that modernizes the formula in many ways, but still retains the classic RPG elements such as experience and leveling, a progressive license board, rare items and loot, character classes, and DLC upon reaching higher stretch goals.

Here are the features we can expect to see in Reborn:

– Real time combat, which an emphasis on special moves, combos, and interaction with the environment.

– A futuristic Japan that will blend traditional scenery with advanced technology

– A engaging story that features a cool cast of characters

– Four distinct game play pillars: Combat, Stealth, Augmentation and Social perception.
