Program begins in November.

With Battlefield 1 launching on October 21st (and already available early for some), EA has released more information on its Rent-A-Server program. As noted earlier, EA will now offer private servers to players directly through its own services rather than with third party organizations.

You can expect to be able to rent your own server this November but it’s going to cost you quite a bit. On the PC, the rates are $2.99 (one day), $11.99 (seven days), $42.99 (30 days), $99.99 (90 days) and $149.99 (180 days). On the PS4 and Xbox One, the rates are surprisingly cheaper over a longer period. It’s $1.99 (one day), $7.99 (seven days), $26.99 (30 days), $64.99 (90 days) and $99.99 (180 days).

Aside from the ability to kick and ban players post-launch, EA didn’t reveal what other features were in store. The options are definitely expensive and thanks to no third party options, you can’t just venture outside of EA’s terms and find something else.

What are your thoughts on the rates? Let us know in the comments.
