For the time being, Briar and Lute appear to be on the same side as Donovan. Plenty of combat is showcased, from air juggles to super attacks. Other weapons besides the giant sword are showcased, like a bow, which players can upgrade throughout the game. Switching between them in the middle of combos is encouraged for inflicting more damage.

Soulstice is out on September 20th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Set in the Kingdom of Keidas, the story sees Briar and Lute battling creatures called Wraiths. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay en route to release.

Soulstice revolves around the stories of Briar and Lute, both of whom will be controllable in the game. Where Briar focuses on attacks and combos, Lute has the power to control the battlefield with her special abilities. Both characters can combine their abilities to use powerful transformations.

The story of Soulstice revolves around the two sisters—Briar and Lute—fighting to protect humanity from a feral, otherworldly force. The game will largely take place in the city of Ilden, and the game’s art has been inspired by Japanese dark fantasy classics like Berserk.

Soulstice got a trailer last year that showed off quite a bit of its gameplay. While not a long trailer, it showcased fast and slick combat against a variety of enemies, alongside a glimpse at some major set pieces and boss fights.

Soulstice is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on September 20.

The trailer isn’t particularly long, but it’s definitely packed and has a whole lot to show. Various locations are showcased, we get to see fast and slick combat against a variety of different kinds of enemies, and even get glimpses at what look like some of the game’s major set-piece sequences and boss fights. Thus far, the gameplay sounds interesting. Both the sisters are controlled simultaneously while customizable weapons that can be switched in combat allows for extensive combos.
