A Spanish Magazine is running a cover story on the upcoming Tomb Raider title, you can read view the cover art above.

Here are a few details from the story, we’ll update you as more of them emerges:

• One image is showing Lara warming herself near a camp fire
• One Image is showling Lara jumping, and there is heavy rain in background
• One image is showing Lara talking with another character
• Another image is about details of her outfit and weapons on an old released artwork

Influences:

• The physics of Half Life 2
• Uncharted’s atmosphere
• The “visióln” of Assassin’s Creed
• The origins of Batmans Begins
• The suffering of 127 hours
• The mysteries of Lost
• Jumps will be pretty common, as expected. But this time we’ll have more control possibilities over them.

Rockstar’s revealed the official boxart for their up and coming crime-thriller, L.A Noire.

It looks pretty intriguing and manages to capture your attention. You can take a look at them above.

The game releases in May for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Risen 2: Dark Waters is in development and the first bits of info involving the game has emerged thanks to a user who has a copy of PCGames magazine being kind enough to share it.

Here’s the whole thing, courtesy of GAF:

Story

• You are again the same nameless heroes of Risen
• He is now living in a small harbour village called “Caldera”
• You are now wearing the Ocular of the inquisitor (story relation not known yet)
• The game is now spread about multiple islands
• There is still the inquisition located on one of the islands
• The story is more complex and will have different consequences depending on your choices
• You will meet familiar faces like Carlos, Gregorius Steelbeard

Setting

• Pirate setting
• It’s no longer on Faranga from Risen
• You can travel to different islands by ship (if you can have an own ship is not known yet)
• In the sea lives different sea monsters who attack ships
• It will also have an fast travel system on the islands
• The islands will have different climate zones with different settings and monsters
• Guns,canons and othe fire weapons in the game
• There is still magic
• Skill system same as Risen
• Should feel more realistic than Risen (for example chests who are empty or have rubble in it, but to every chest is a story)
• The world is bigger as in Risen
• Side quests should be more complex than in Risen

Graphic / Technic

• Animation is now motion captured
• NPCs and monsters more detailed
• Bump mapping, realisitc relatime clouds instead of a skybox
• More realisitc faces
• No loading times on the islands and invisible walls only short loading by changing the island
• NPCs talking with each other (for example you can hear a conversation between too NPCs when the treasurer leave his treasure)
• Every NPC has a daily routine like in Risen
• In the night different monsters than on the day like in Risen

Monsters

• There will be Gnomes again
• Minecrawler
• Some familiar and some completly new monsters
• Also normal animals like apes,boars,… depending on the climate zone

Risen 2 is far into development and is around 80% complete. Piranha are doing voice recording for the game right now.

Risen 2 is in development for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Sony Ericsson has kicked off a contest to promote their new Playstation Phone, Xperia Play in some European Countries and it has resulted in the device’s price being revealed.

The contest has 10 Xperia Play phones up for grab. The contest page values the total amount to be 4999,00 € which means one unit is priced around 499,00 €.

This means the phone will cost roughly $400.

Pretty decent for such a high-level phone. What do you think?

Guerrilla’s released a new trailer for their upcoming game, Killzone 3 which showcases a new environment.

As you can see, the trailer features a jungle environment, never seen before.

Killzone 3 releases on Feb 24 and is exclusive to PS3.

Konami’s given their upcoming Silent Hill game an official reveal, confirming its release for PS3 and Xbox 360 in Autumn this year.

They have also dropped a host of new screenshots of the game which look rather impressive.

The game’s main protagonist will be Murphy Pendleton and it features a “original storyline”, Konami said.

Silent Hill: Downpour is being developed by Vatra Games.

Nintendo’s confirmed that the 3DS will be sold in Cosmos Black and Aqua Blue at launch in Europe.

This was confirmed during the publisher”s ongoing event in Armsterdam.
